The Red color-coded Waterman Nib is known for being Medium and Flexible when writing and is coveted by collectors. The iridium tipping is in excellent condition with the point measuring .78mm when measured with digital calipers. When writing the sample in the listing images, the NIB writes with a fine line with very light pressure measuring roughly .51mm and will flex upwards to a double broad stroke of 1.66mm with medium to firm pressure when measured with digital calipers. The Nib has excellent responsiveness and writes very smoothly. The writing sample provided was done with the actual pen in the images that are listed for sale. The writing sample was used by dipping the NIB in Graf von Faber-Castell Cobalt Blue Ink.

Overall, this Waterman #7 grades in Very Fine+ to Excellent condition and stands as a superb example of one of Waterman’s most celebrated models.
