He shared that condition was paramount and cost was never a limiting factor. Having carefully examined the entire collection, I can confidently say it represents one of the most pristine and uncompromising groups of Parker pens I have encountered at this scale. This example is one of several Parker 51s from that collection that will be offered beginning March 28, 2026.

Condition is simply outstanding. The barrel, hood, and cap present beautifully, free from chips, cracks, repairs, or any notable wear. The Lustraloy cap retains a flawless finish, complemented by a crisp Gold Split Arrow clip with no dings, dents, or loss of the finish. The cap fits securely to the barrel, as it should. The cap is stamped “PARKER” beneath the clip and “MADE IN U.S.A.” on the reverse. This barrel does not have a date code/imprint on the barrel. That said, between 1948 to 1950 Parker 51 pens had a choice of a gold filled clip on a Lustraloy cap, an option discontinued by 1950. It is possible the barrel imprint left the factory this way, I have seen too many other Aerometric barrels in my time without imprints on other Parker 51 examples.

The Aerometric filling system is exceptionally clean, with a clear glass-ply sac showing no evidence of prior ink use. The mechanism has been gently tested with water and functions exactly as intended. This fountain pen is the standard size and measures 5 3/8" inches capped, 5 7/8" inches posted, and weighs .69 ounces.

The original 14K nib is configured in a Medium point, measuring approximately 0.68mm with digital calipers. In keeping with its untouched status, no ink test or writing sample has been performed, preserving its never-inked integrity for the next steward.

Examples of the Parker 51 Aerometric in this level of preservation—completely original, never inked, and virtually flawless—are increasingly scarce. The Forest Green color is considered, in the vintage pen industry, to be very elusive, like the Plum color. This is a true collector-grade piece that stands as both a functional writing instrument and a refined store of value. Whether you choose to keep it pristine or finally put it to paper, it represents one of the finest expressions of Parker 51's enduring legacy.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1862/4123/files/1950sParker51ForestGreenAerometricFountainPen1.jpg?v=1774730318
https://antiquedigger.com/en-ca/products/1950s-parker-51-forrest-green-aerometric-14k-medium-nib-fountain-pen-never-inked
