For your consideration, we are offering for sale this Spectacular Restored Circa 1930s Stickered Gold Bond Stonite Oversize Fountain Pen & Pencil Set in this Stunning Coral Celluloid. This fountain pen has been thoroughly taken apart, cleaned and put back together and is now in wonderful writing condition.

I have ultrasonically cleaned the NIB, feed, and section. Replaced the old sac with a new, Silicone sac to preserve the color. Hand polished the Gold Filled Clip, Cap Banding, and 14K Gold Bond NIB. Cleaned, Buffed, Polished and Waxed the barrel and cap to bring back the vibrancy of fountain pen and to protect the Celluloid. This Gold Bond Fountain Pen is an Oversize model and measures 5 1/2" capped and 7" posted. The Pencil measures 5 1/4" in length.

The fountain pen cap and barrel are a marvel to witness with the set being in Near Mint Condition with no chips, cracks or repairs with the cap always securing tightly to the barrel. The cap has the Gold Bond stamped clip. The clip displays absolutely no wear. The cap banding displays a wonderful rich gold filled color with no wear. The lever displays no wear. The barrel is stamped clearly with, "GOLD BOND STONITE" on both the Fountain Pen and Pencil. There are no monograms or personalization to either the cap or barrel. The celluloid on this fountain pen is vibrant and exquisite - the Coral color is drop-dead gorgeous! Lastly, we have the Fountain Pen retaining the original "CORAL8" sticker - which is a treat to have.

This Gold Bond has a lever filling mechanism and I have tested with water and fills as it should. Works as it is designed to. The Gold Bond Pencil working by twisting the Gold Filled Crown/Cap and propels/repels lead as it should.

The NIB is a 14K Warranted #8 that writes with a wet, smooth line. The actual writing portion (iridium) of the 14K NIB has a broad point measuring roughly .93mm when measured with digital calipers. When writing a sample with this NIB, it writes with a medium to double broad stroke/line. In the writing sample provided, the medium line measures at .83mm with light pressure and the double broad line measures at 1.57mm with medium to firm pressure when measured with digital calipers. The writing sample was done with the actual pen in the images that are listed for sale. The writing sample was used by dipping the NIB in Parker Quink Blue Ink.

Any specks of white in the images are from the cotton that I used to clean the barrel and cap.

If you are going to own a Gold Bond Fountain Pen in your writing arsenal collection, this is the example you want to have. This is a Survivor in such gorgeous Coral coloring in the Oversize model with the Fountain Pen still retaining the original sticker. I would consider this Gold Bond to grade in Near Mint Condition. It is collector grade quality and is ready to write or just add it to your writing arsenal collection.
