1934 PARKER BURGUNDY PEARL VACUMATIC DOUBLE JEWEL FOUNTAIN PEN RESTORED

For your consideration, we are offering for sale this Restored 1934 Parker Vacumatic Double Jewel Fountain Pen in the Burgundy Pearl Celluloid. This fountain pen has been thoroughly taken apart, cleaned and put back together and now is in wonderful writing condition.

I have ultrasonically cleaned the NIB, feed, section, breather tube, and barrel. Replaced the old diaphragm with a new, properly sized one. Hand polished the Gold Filled Arrow Clip, 3-Ring Cap Banding, and 14K NIB. Cleaned, Buffed, Polished and Waxed the barrel, cap, and blind cap to bring back the vibrancy and to protect the celluloid of the fountain pen. This Parker Vacumatic is a Standard size which measures 5 1/8" in length capped and 6" posted. The color is gorgeous on this pen - the burgundy pearl just pops

This fountain pen cap and barrel are in great condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs with the cap always securing tightly to the barrel. The barrel has great transparency, albeit with minor to mild ambering. The cap has the Feather Gold Plated Clip with triple ring cap bands displaying a wonderful bright gold filled color with only the slightest wear towards to top of the clip. The top and bottom jewels are striped to match the cap, barrel, and section which have been polished to shine great again. The blind cap tassie has been polished to shine as well - the tassie has a minor ding and wanted to point it out for clarity sake. The barrel is stamped (lightly in some areas) with an imprint that reads, "GEO S. PARKER PARKER VACUMATIC MADE IN USA with a 4 date code (for 1934) in the 4th quarter". The jeweled blind cap securely fits. There are no monograms or personalizations to either the cap or barrel. This Parker Vacumatic Fountain Pen is a Standard Size Model that has a wider diameter cap and barrel than the standard juniors from this era. It measures 5 1/8" in length capped and 6 1/8" posted.

The Vacumatic Filling System works great, typically in my tests with water in about 12 to 15 presses and it will roughly fill full. This Parker Vac 1st Generation Fountain Pen has the lockdown filling unit, typical on 1st generation Vacs. This filling unit has been greased and now operates smoothly and works as it was originally designed to.

This Parker NIB is a 14K split arrow NIB with a matching date code to the rest of the pen, 1934 in the 4th Quarter, which makes this a marriage. The 14K Parker NIB has a medium point measuring roughly .67mm when measured with digital calipers. When writing a sample the NIB writes with a medium to broad stroke line. With the writing sample provided, the fine line measures at .63mm and the broad stroke measured at 1.01mm with medium pressure when measured with digital calipers. The writing sample was completed with the actual pen in the images that are listed for sale. The writing sample provided was completed by dipping the NIB in Parker Quink Blue Ink.

Any specks of white in the images are from the cotton that I used to clean the barrel and cap.

This is a gorgeous Parker 1st Generation Vacumatic Fountain Pen in the Burgundy Pearl Celluloid that has all the "high-line" features; 3-Ring Cap Banding, Striped Section, Striped Top, and Bottom Jewels with very good barrel transparency. I would grade this Parker Vac to be in Very Fine to Excellent Condition. This Parker Standard 1st Generation Double Jewel Vacumatic is collector grade and is ready to write with or just add to writing arsenal collection.
