Description

For your consideration, we are offering for sale this Restored Gorgeous 1937 Parker Vacumatic Double Jewel Fountain Pen in Golden Web Celluloid. This fountain pen has been thoroughly taken apart, cleaned and put back together and now is in wonderful writing condition.

I have ultrasonically cleaned the feed, section, breather tube, and barrel. Replaced the old diaphragm with a new, properly sized one. Hand polished the Gold Filled Feather Clip, Gold Filled Two Ring Cap Banding and 14K NIB. Cleaned, Buffed, Polished & Waxed the barrel and cap to bring back the vibrancy and to protect the celluloid of the fountain pen.

This fountain pen cap and barrel are in magnificent condition with no cracks or repairs with the cap always securing tightly to the barrel. The cap has the Feather Gold Filled Clip and the double cap bands displaying a wonderful gold filled color. The top and bottom jewels are black and have been polished to shine great again. The barrel imprint is stamped, "GEO S. PARKER PARKER VACUMATIC MADE IN USA with 7 Date Code (for 1937) in the 3rd quarter". The jeweled blind cap securely fits. There are no monograms or personalizations to either the cap or barrel. This Parker Vacumatic Fountain Pen is a Junior Model that has a wider diameter cap and barrel than the standard juniors. It measures 4 7/8" in length capped and 5 13/16" posted.

The Vacumatic Filling System works great, typically in my tests with water about 8 to 10 presses and it will fill full. This Vacumatic has the lockdown filling unit, typical on 1st generation Vacumatics. This filling unit has been greased and now operates smoothly and works flawlessly.

This Golden Web Vac has a date matching nib making is a marriage to the pen - 1937 date code The 14K Parker Vacumatic NIB has a medium point measuring roughly .60mm when measured with digital calipers. The NIB is the split arrow 14K Vacumatic that is in excellent condition which creates a smooth writing experience. The writing sample provided in the image has a medium stroke that measures .62mm with light pressure and will flex to a broad stroke of roughly 1.15mm with medium to firm pressure. The sample was done with the actual pen in the images that are listed for sale. The writing sample was used by dipping the NIB in Parker Quink Blue Ink.

Any specks of white in the images are from the cotton that I used to clean the barrel and cap.

This design was only made for 2 years, 1936 & 1937 before it went out of production in the U.S.A. This is a beautiful vintage Parker Vacumatic Fountain Pen in the Golden Web Celluloid that I would grade it in Excellent+ Condition. The color is gorgeous on this Parker Golden Web but more importantly with a marriage of the Nib to the rest of the pen. This Parker Vac in the scarce Golden Web celluloid is collector worthy and it is ready to write or just add to writing arsenal collection.
