Description

For your consideration, we are offering for sale this Never Inked, New Old Stock Sheaffer Balance Limited Edition Fountain Pen in the Green-Gray and Red pattern fitted with an 18K Sheaffer Lifetime "Signature" Stub Nib. This fountain pen has never been inked and always contained in the box from a non-smoking person's home. I consider this pen New Old Stock and Mint Condition with original outer and inner boxes with Sheaffer documentation.

This Sheaffer Balance Limited Edition displays a Polished 23K gold electroplated trim fitted with a solid 18K/750 gold Stub nib. The cap and barrel have absolutely no damage, dents, wear to the finish. This fountain pen has never been inked and in Mint Condition. This Fountain Pen measures 5 9/16" inches capped and 6 7/16" posted.

This writing instrument is a Sheaffer Balance Fountain Pen and is a Limited Edition number 0698 out of 6000 with production from 1997. Again, this Sheaffer Balance is new as it has never been inked. The cap has 23K gold electroplated clip and cap banding. "W.A. SHEAFFER PEN CO FORT MADISON, IOWA USA MADE IN USA 0698 OF 6000" is stamped on the barrel. The cap clip is 23K Gold Electroplating and stamped, "SHEAFFER'S". This Sheaffer has the Lever Filling system and works as it was designed to - I tested it with water and works perfectly.

The cap is always securing tightly to the barrel. The trim is perfect with no scratches or brassing.

The nib is an 18K Sheaffer Lifetime with a STUB point measuring 1.31mm when measuring with digital calipers. This Sheaffer Nib shows no signs of ever being inked. These Stub Nibs are great for signatures. I did not ink the pen so I could keep it in perfect condition for the next collector.

This Sheaffer Balance Fountain Pen comes with the original factory outer and wooden inner boxes with and Sheaffer documentation. The Ink Bottle is accompanying this pen and is in its own cardboard box.

This Sheaffer Balance Limited Edition Fountain Pen has a great look and feel in the hand with fantastic color. I would consider this Sheaffer Balance to be New Old Stock, Never Inked and in Mint Condition. A marvelous addition to your writing arsenal collection.
