For your consideration, we are offering for sale this 2010 Visconti Homo Sapiens Artist Painting by Mazzi in the Volcano theme Limited Edition 86 of 388 Fountain Pen fitted with an 18K Medium Nib. This Visconti comes with the original outer yellow box, inner box, and the Homo Sapiens literature and and Warranty card. This fountain pen has never been inked, and I consider this fountain pen to be in Mint condition.
NOTE: Mazzi is recognized for his diverse illustrations created for Maserati (calendars and posters), Ducati Motors (where he served as the official painter for many years), Colnago / Ferrari bicycles, Malaguti scooters (with a collection of 5,000 pieces), and Citroen Italia (some cars). His cherished creations include paintings on luxury knives and Visconti pens, which have earned him accolades as well as the attention of the media and television.

Crafted from ancient lava sourced from Mount Etna, this pen boasts unique qualities ideal for writing instruments. Visconti blends more than 50% pure basaltic lava with a patented secret resin formula, harnessing the remarkable properties of this natural material to create an exceptional writing experience.
This Visconti fountain pen combines the mastery of Visconti manufacturing and the artistry of Claudio Mazzi to bring this stunning piece of artwork that also can be used to write with. The cap and blind cap have the Lava/Resin combination material, and the barrel displays the Volcano scene with Mazzi's signature on the barrel. The cap, barrel, and brightly polished Rose Gold-plate trim are all clean with no chips, cracks, wear, or repairs. There are no personalizations or monograms to either the cap or barrel. The clip displays Visconti on both sides and the top of the cap medallion. The cap is released from the barrel by pushing down on the cap and turning it - it then releases from the barrel. The cap banding is stamped with, "HOMO SAPIENS and the Limited Edition number 86/388". The cap secures to the barrel every time. This fountain pen measures 5 3/4" capped and 6 7/8" posted.
This Homo Sapiens uses the patented High Vacuum Power Filler Touchdown filling system. I tested it with water and fills as it was designed.
The Homo Sapiens comes with the 23K / 950 Palladium DreamTouch Two-Tone Nib Medium nib. The nib has a medium point measuring .86mm when using digital calipers. I have not inked the pen, only to keep it in pristine condition for the next owner. The previous owner never inked or dipped the pen either. It is in Never Inked Condition!
