For your consideration, we are offering for sale this Never Inked Boxed 2001 Johann Sebastian Bach Special/Limited Edition Donation Fountain Pen. This pen has the original box, sheet music, and Montblanc literature/service booklet. It has never been inked and retains the original MEDIUM sticker on the barrel. This fountain pen is Limited Edition 06578 of 12000.

The Donation Pen Johann Sebastian Bach is a tribute to the legendary composer's exceptional skills and uniqueness. Crafted with extraordinary attention to detail, this pen features a sepia-colored precious resin barrel and cap top, while the coral-colored cap is adorned with Johann Sebastian Bach's signature and a gold-plated clef symbol clip. In support of the restoration of one of Bach's original manuscripts, Montblanc has pledged to donate a portion of the profits from this pen. The gold-plated cap rings showcase a facsimile engraving of notes from the original manuscript of Brandenburg Concerto No. 5, and the 18K gold nib is finely engraved with a portrait of Bach and rhodium-plating.

The cap and barrel of the fountain pen are in perfect condition with no cracks, nicks, or repairs. The cap is always securing tightly to the barrel. The fountain pen's gold-plated cap ring is detailed with an engraving of notes from his original manuscript of Brandenburg Concerto No. 5. The clip is fashioned in the shape of a Clef symbol. The cap side is imprinted with the limited edition number, "06578/12000". The fountain pen measures 5 3/4" capped and 6 3/8" posted. 

This Montblanc fountain pen uses a piston-filling system. I have tested it with water and works as it was designed to. There was never any ink inside the pen and when flushed with water it always came out clean with no ink residue.

The 18-karat two-tone nib is engraved with the profile of Bach's likeness and is marked. "4810, 18K, MONTBLANC". This nib is a Medium and the iridium point measures .84mm when using digital calipers. I have never inked this fountain pen nib to keep it in uninked, unused condition for the next collector. But you know it will write with a smooth, juicy, wet line!

Johann Sebastian Bach, a prominent composer of German baroque and Protestant church music, was widely recognized for his exceptional musical compositions. The original box contains five facsimile sheets of music from the manuscript for the Brandenburg Concertos. The box is complete and in excellent condition.
