Description

For your consideration, we are offering for sale this Never Inked, Mint in the Box 2004 Patron of the Arts Series Montblanc JP Morgan Fountain Pen Limited Edition 0541 of 4810. This pen comes with the original inner and outer boxes along with the Montblanc documentation.

NOTE: This pen is like new in the Montblanc Factory boxes and never inked. A perfect example!

With its clear design, the barrel brings back to life the Age of Industrialisation. The finely engraved M on the rhodium-plated 18-karat gold nib is reminiscent not only of a great financier but also of his immortal legacy: the Morgan Library.

The cap and barrel are in perfect condition with no cracks, nicks, dings, dents, or repairs. The cap is always securing tightly to the barrel. The sterling silver and alternating gold and carbon fiber chevron pattern cap work is beautiful and very detailed. The entire fountain pen shines brilliantly. This Montblanc is a limited edition number, "0541 of 4810" and is imprinted on the blind cap. The sterling silver barrel is stamped with, " 925, StØD, 925 Balance/Scale, and Bear's Head". The fountain pen measures 5 5/8" capped and 6 5/8" posted.

This Montblanc fountain pen uses a piston filling system, I have tested it with water, and works as it was designed to. It is in perfect working order and does so very smoothly.

The Rhodium-plated 18K/750 gold nib commemorates the great financier and art lover whose legacy is one of the world's largest and most important collections in the world. The nib is stamped with, "2004, 4810, 18K 750 MONTBLANC". The nib point (iridium) measures .88mm when measured with digital calipers. To preserve its pristine condition, I refrained from using ink on the pen, ensuring that the next owner will receive an exceptional writing experience.

This Montblanc comes in the original Montblanc wooden lacquered box, outer storage factory box, and Limited Edition Booklet.

John Pierpont Morgan was not only one of the most influential financial magnates during America’s “Golden Age”, but also an enthusiastic lover and patron of the arts. His legacy has its most impressive manifestation in the Morgan Library which he founded in New York: in one of the world’s largest collections of significant works from art, literature, music, and history, masterpieces from the Middle Ages can be found next to classics of the Modern Age.

This Montblanc Patron of the Arts JP Morgan Fountain Pen is a truly stunning and refined writing tool, skillfully created and designed in Germany. It is in impeccable condition, having never been used with ink, and would make a fantastic addition to any writing collection. I would classify this Montblanc JP Morgan Fountain Pen as being in pristine, mint, never inked, and new old stock condition.
