For your consideration, we are offering for sale this Mint, Never Inked, in the Box Circa 1995 Montblanc Doue No. 147 Traveler's LeGrand MEISTERSTUCK Fountain Pen with 14K Broad Oblique Nib in the scarce Bourdeaux precious resin color. This fountain pen has never been inked and I consider it in New Old Stock Mint Condition! It is guaranteed to be an authentic Montblanc pen. 

This Montblanc 147 Traveler's LeGrand Fountain Pen dates somewhere in the mid-1990s - they began production of the Traveler's in 1994. The 147 Traveler's Fountain Pen is the same size as a LeGrand, this pen has a screw-in brass cartridge tray, rather than the internal piston fill system that is usual with the LeGrand and Diplomat fountain pens. The idea for this was because the ink is contained in a fairly air-tight compartment, it is less affected by pressure changes and therefore easier to travel with due to no leaking. It is also more convenient since you only have to carry spare cartridges, rather than a bottle of ink! 

This fountain pen cap and barrel are in magnificent condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs with the cap always securing tightly to the barrel. The cap is sterling silver vermeil (gold over on sterling) has a Gold Filled Clip and Cap Banding which displays absolutely no wear and is polished brightly. The sides of the cap clip are stamped with, "GERMANY METAL 3" and the serial number, "KK101241". The cap banding is stamped with, "MONTBLANC MEISTERSTUCK".  The side of the cap is stamped with, "925" for sterling silver. I have cleaned and polished the cap but there is some minor tarnish at the top of the cap in between the grooves. The ink cartridge tray opens and closes easily. There are no monograms or personalizations to either the barrel or cap. This Montblanc 147 Fountain Pen measures 5 3/4" in length capped and 6 1/2" posted.

The Montblanc NIB is a 14K/585 Bi-Color Broad Oblique NIB. The 14K Montblanc NIB has a broad/double broad point measuring roughly 1.20mm when measured with digital calipers. I have not attempted to ink the pen as I wanted to keep it in new old stock, mint, never-inked condition for the next owner of this pen. Rest assured, the Montblanc broad oblique nibs are seriously smooth wonderful writers that offer fantastic ink flow.

This Montblanc Doue comes with the original box that contains a Montblanc 3-pen leather case, polishing cloth, and Montblanc literature. The box is in excellent condition. 

This is a special Montblanc 147 Traveler's Fountain Pen due to the Sterling Vermeil cap which is very difficult to acquire due to the limited production time frame and the Bordeaux color. I would grade this fine writing instrument in Mint, Never Inked, New Old Stock Condition.
