For your consideration, we are offering for sale this Never Inked Limited Edition Montblanc Friedrich Schiller Fountain Pen from the 2000 Writer's Series. This particular pen is number 9638 out of 18000. This pen comes with the original boxes, Montblanc Literature, and the original nib sticker affixed to the blind cap. This fountain pen has never been inked, is considered New Old Stock, and is in Mint Condition.

The Friedrich Schiller is an exquisite fountain pen from Montblanc's Limited Edition Writers Series. The Writers Edition Schiller is made of an amber-colored material on the cap that was a symbol of a changing society, especially in Schiller’s time. It is elaborately worked, and this, along with the simple elegance of the delicate gold-plated mountings, evokes the style of the heyday of Weimar classicism. Schiller’s signature is inscribed on the cap. The finely-engraved 18-karat gold nib is decorated as a tribute to “William Tell”, one of his best-known pieces. This particular Friedrich Schiller Fountain Penl is a limited edition number "11453 of 18000".

The cap and barrel are in excellent condition with no cracks, nicks, scratches, enameling loss, or repairs. The cap is always securing tightly to the barrel. The fountain pen measures 5 3/8" capped and 6 3/8" posted.

 The Friedrich Schiller Fountain Pen comes with the original boxes and literature you see in the images, which all are in excellent condition. 

This Montblanc fountain pen uses a piston filling system that I have tested with water and works as it was designed to. I have taken apart the piston to clean and grease it along with cleaning the inside of the barrel. The piston works as it should and smoothly. Additionally, when removing the piston and nib from the pen, there were never any traces of ink. This is how I have concluded the fountain pen has never been inked and is in Mint condition.

This pen has an 18-karat gold nib that pays homage to the classic novel, William Tell. The nib features an engraving of a crossbow and is labeled with "4810, 18K/750, Montblanc, 2000". The Montblanc NIB's writing portion (iridium) measures roughly 1.11mm when measured with digital calipers.  This nib is designated as a BROAD which matches the Broad nib sticker adhered to the pen. I never inked the pen to keep it in New Old Stock, Mint, Never Inked Condition.
