The cap and barrel are made from celluloid with a highly detailed sterling silver overlay. This fountain pen is in Mint, Never Inked Condition - considered New Old Stock with all the original boxes and documentation/literature.

Montegrappa honors Bruce Lee with a long awaited reinterpretation of one of its most coveted pens: The Dragon. Bruce Lee was known as “The Dragon”, having been born on the day and in the hour of “The Dragon” in the Chinese horoscope. In addition to 2010 marking the 70th anniversary of Bruce Lee’s birth, it also marks 15 years since the 1995 release of Montegrappa’s Dragon fountain pen.

Resembling the original Dragon pen released in 1995, the new Montegrappa 2010 Bruce Lee Icons Sterling Silver Fountain Pen has been distinguished from the 1995 release by a change in the design of the pocket clip, a new color, and the detail of the Dragon’s tail on the pen barrel, and the top of the cap displaying the Yin/Yang symbol with diamonds.

“The Dragon 2010 Bruce Lee” limited edition pen features a body and cap made of red celluloid with black veining, referred to as “cinnamon”. Topping the cap is the immortal yin-yang symbol, representing balance. The cap and the barrel are both embraced by exquisitely carved dragons, their eyes highlighted by rubies.

The Montegrappa Dragon 2010 Bruce Lee Pen is the second of Montegrappa's “Icons” series of writing instruments paying tribute to cultural giants, regardless of the fields in which their character and achievements lifted them to global awareness.

This Fountain Pen is in perfect condition - it has never been inked. The cap and barrel have an extremely detailed Sterling Silver "DRAGON" overlay that is in perfect condition with no cracks, nicks, scratches, dings, dents, or repairs. The cap is always securing tightly to the barrel. In the section, when the barrel is unscrewed, one will see the "Montegrappa" company name on the silver ring. The cap and barrel are both stamped with 925 which is the sterling silver mark. The Dragon heads on both the cap and barrel areas display Ruby eyes. The top of the cap displays the "Ying/Yang symbol with two diamonds prong set. The bottom of the barrel is marked with the limited edition number 134/888. This fountain pen measures 5 5/8" inches capped and 7" inches posted. The pen weighs 3.50 ounces.

The fountain pen uses a piston filling system. I have tested the piston filler with water and it works as it is designed. 

The 18K Gold nib is designated "MEDIUM" and displays a silhouette of a "Jumping" Bruce Lee, 18K/750, MONTEGRAPPA Italia on the nib. The iridium tipping measures .81mm when measuring with digital calipers, which falls into the range of Medium the nib is designated. This fountain pen has never been inked and wanted to leave it that way for the next collector.
