Description

For your consideration we are offering for sale this 1939 Parker Emerald Green Pearl Celluloid Fountain Pen Set in restored condition. This fountain pen has been thoroughly taken apart, cleaned and put back together and now is in wonderful writing condition. This set has magnificent emerald pearl color.

I have ultrasonically cleaned the NIB, feed, section, breather tube, cap and barrel. Replaced the old diaphragm with a new, properly sized one. Hand polished the Gold Filled Blue Diamond Clip, Chevron Cap Banding and 14K NIB. Buffed and Polished the barrel and cap to bring back the vibrancy of fountain pen.

This fountain pen cap and barrel are is magnificent condition with no chips, cracks, teeth marks or repairs. The cap has the Blue Diamond Gold Filled clip with no brassing and the cap band displays a wonderful gold filled Chevron pattern with no brassing. The top jewel and bottom jewels are the same pattern as the cap and barrel and look great. The barrel is clearly and crisply stamped with, "Geo. S. Parker Vacumatic Made in U.S.A. with date code 9 in the fourth quarter". The transparency of the barrel is fantastic. The jeweled blind cap securely fits. There are no monograms on the barrel.

The Vacumatic Filling System works great, typically in my tests with water about 3 to 4 presses and it will fill full. This 2nd Generation Parker Vacumatic has the correct Speedline filling unit with the Diamond on the end. This filling unit is smooth and work flawlessly.

This Parker Vacumatic Fountain Pen is a 2nd Generation Debutante that measures 4 5/8" in length capped and 5 3/8" posted. The 14K Parker NIB has a medium point measuring roughly .68mm, measured with digital calipers. The NIB has the split arrow 14K NIB with the correct "9" date code, which matches the rest of the pen.

When writing a sample the NIB writes with a fine line and very smoothly. The writing sample provided, the thinnest line measures at a medium .54mm stroke and the broad line measured with digital calipers is roughly 1.28mm with firm pressure. The sample was done with the actual pen in the images that is listed for sale. I have tested the filling mechanism with water and fills as it should. The writing sample was used by dipping the NIB in Parker Quink Black Ink.

The pencil is in fantastic condition in it's own right. The banding, clip and point display no brassing.

Any specks of white in the images are from the cotton that I used to clean the barrel and cap.

This is a beautiful vintage Parker Vacumatic Fountain Pen Set in the Emerald Green Pearl Celluloid that is in exceptional condition and would grade it in the Excellent to Near Mint Condition. It is ready to write or just add to writing arsenal collection.
