Description

For your consideration we are offering for sale this Gorgeous Restored 1946 Parker Emerald Green Pearl Celluloid Debutante Fountain Pen. This fountain pen has been thoroughly taken apart, cleaned and put back together and now is in wonderful writing condition.

I have ultrasonically cleaned the NIB, feed, section, breather tube, cap and barrel. Replaced the old diaphragm with a new, properly sized one. Hand polished the Gold Filled Split Arrow Clip, Gold Filled Cap Banding and 14K NIB. Cleaned, Buffed, Polished and Waxed the barrel and cap to bring back the vibrancy and to protect the celluloid of fountain pen.

This fountain pen cap and barrel are in magnificent condition with no chips, cracks, teeth marks or repairs. The celluloid offers a rich emerald color that looks wonderful. The cap has the Split Arrow Gold Filled Clip, which displays no brassing. The cap features a Gold Filled Smooth Cap Banding, which displays only a very hint of brassing. The top jewel is black and has been polished to shine once again. The barrel is clearly and crisply stamped with, "Geo. S. Parker Vacumatic Made in U.S.A. with date code 6 in the fourth quarter". The transparency of the barrel is fantastic, near water clear transparency. The jeweled blind cap securely fits. There are no monograms or personalizations on the cap or barrel. This Parker Vacumatic Fountain Pen is a 3rd Generation Debutante size that measures 4 3/4" in length capped and 5 1/2" posted.

The Vacumatic Filling System works great, typically in my tests with water about 5 to 6 presses and it will fill full. This 3rd Generation Parker Vacumatic has the correct pump filling unit. This filling unit has been greased and now operates smoothly and works flawlessly.

This Parker has the 14K split arrow NIB. The NIB has a medium point measuring roughly .60mm, measured with digital calipers. The NIB has the split arrow 14K NIB with the correct "6" date code, which matches the year of the body / pen. When writing a sample the NIB writes with an extra fine to double broad stroke line. With the writing sample provided, the thinnest line measures at an extra fine .38mm stroke and the double broad line measured at 1.22mm with firm pressure when measuring with digital calipers. The sample in this listing was completed with the actual pen in the images that is listed for sale. The writing sample was used by dipping the NIB in Parker Quink Blue-Black Ink.

Any specks of white in the images are from the cotton that I used to clean the barrel and cap.

This is a beautiful vintage Parker Vacumatic Fountain Pen in the Emerald Green Pearl Celluloid is wonderful condition. I would grade the fountain pen in Excellent Condition. It is ready to write or just add to writing arsenal collection.
