Description

For your consideration, we are offering for sale this Circa 1972 Parker T-1 Brushed Titanium Fountain Pen. I have cleaned the internal section of the pen. This T-1 is in fabulous writing condition!

NOTE: The Parker T-1 was introduced in April of 1970 as the "SPACE PEN". It was quickly discontinued in Q1 of 1972. The Titanium proved too difficult to work with because the tooling at Parker wasn't up to the task and the pen proved to be unprofitable. This is why these fountain pens are very collectible in today's market and command high prices.

This fountain pen cap and barrel are in magnificent condition with no denting, chips, cracks, or repairs with the cap always securing tightly to the barrel. The cap has the split arrow gold-filled clip with no wear. The top and bottom jewels are red with the top jewel having the Parker logo stamped on it. The cap, around the lip, is stamped with, "PARKER Made in U.S.A. and the Parker Logo". There are no monograms or personalizations to either the cap or barrel. This Parker T-1 measures 5 1/8" in length capped and 5 5/8" posted.

This Parker T-1 has been inked very limited times and the condition of the pen shows this. It has an ink converter included in the section that works as it should.

The Parker NIB is integrated into the section/barrel. The screw under the NIB allows the adjustment of the type of writing style you want to have, a fine, medium, or broad stroke/line by adjusting the screw head. When writing a sample with this NIB, it writes with a Medium stroke/line. In the writing sample provided, the medium line ranges from .60mm to .74mm when measured with digital calipers with medium pressure. The nib writes smoothly. The writing sample was done with the actual pen in the images that are listed for sale. The writing sample was used by dipping the NIB in Parker Quink Blue Ink.

This vintage Parker T-1 Fountain Pen is in Excellent to Near Mint Condition and is certainly a collector-grade Fountain Pen! These T-1 Titanium Fountain Pens are very rare and finding one in this condition is very difficult to find. This example is a spectacular writing instrument to include in your writing arsenal stable of rare pens!
