Description

For your consideration, we are offering for sale this Circa 2002 Never Inked, Mint with Box Visconti Limited Edition 248 of 888 Plunger-fill Titanium Skeleton Fountain Pen fitted with an 18K gold Two-Tone Medium Nib. This Visconti fountain pen has never seen ink and is considered in New Old Stock, and Mint Condition, in its Presentation box and literature.

NOTE: This Visconti pen showcases a striking demonstrator design, featuring a matte-finished titanium overlay with cutouts, set over a large, clear resin body. Titanium, known for its incredible strength and lightweight properties, is challenging to work with, making it a highly desirable material for this pen.

This Visconti Titanium Skeleton Fountain Pen is in uninked, mint condition with no wear, dings, dents, scratching, or repairs. The cap type is a "threaded" type that secures to the barrel every time. This Visconti has a titanium overlay with all the trim being made of Titanium. This fountain pen measures 5 5/8" capped and 7 1/4" posted, has a diameter of 16.38mm around the cap banding, and weighs 1.56 ounces.

The cap lip is stamped with, "TIANIUM SKELETON". This fountain pen is a Limited Edition 248 of 888 and is stamped on the backside of the cap on the cap lip.

The nib is marked, "Visconti 18K/750 FIRENZE M". The nib has a medium point measuring .86mm when using digital calipers. I have never inked this pen and wanted to keep it in uninked, New Old Stock condition for the next owner. These nibs are notorious for being very smooth writers, I have no reason to believe this nib wouldn't follow suit.

This Visconti uses the patented "power-fill" plunger filling system. I tested it with water and fills as it was designed.

The fountain pen comes with the box, the Skeleton Limited Edition literature, and the Warranty Card that you see in the images.

Working with Titanium to create a fountain pen is uncommon because the material is difficult to work with. This Visconti Limited Edition hit the mark with this design. It is just a spectacular example and a scarce writing instrument that makes a statement in one's Visconti collection!
