For your consideration, we are offering for sale this Circa 1972 Sheaffer White Dot Imperial Fountain Pen with Sterling Silver Barley pattern. This fountain pen is in Mint Condition, never inked except to produce the writing sample in the images.

This writing instrument is known as a Sheaffer Imperial Fountain Pen - it is a modern fountain pen from the 1970s. It is like new as it has only been inked to capture a writing example. The cap has the Sheaffer "White Dot" on the gold plated clip that is clean. The barrel is perfect with no scratches or repairs. This Sheaffer has an ink converter filling unit and works as it was designed to - I tested with water and works perfectly.

This Sheaffer Imperial is known as a Model 826 and the design on the cap and barrel is known as the "Barley" pattern

The cap and barrel are in perfect condition with no dings, dents, cracks, nicks, scratches, or repairs. The cap is always securing tightly to the barrel. This fountain pen measures 5 1/4" capped and 5 3/4" posted.

The nib is marked Sheaffer 14K U.S.A. The nib has a medium point measuring .70mm when using digital calipers. The nib writes with an extra fine line measuring .39mm under light pressure to a medium line measuring .83mm when measured with digital calipers. The nib was only dip tested with Parker Blue Quink Ink. The pen has never been inked otherwise - just for this writing sample. Feels great in the hand and, at least for me, feels well balanced.

This is a Classy Sheaffer Imperial Fountain Pen with Sterling Silver Cap and Barrel. I would consider this Sheaffer to grade in Mint Condition/New Old Stock. This Sheaffer Imperial is ready to write with and is a fine fountain pen to add to your writing arsenal collection.
