For your consideration, we are offering for sale this Rare Unengraved Sheaffer Reissue Crest Fountain Pen in the Sterling Silver Interrupted Barleycorn pattern. This fountain pen has been cleaned, put back together and now is in wonderful writing condition.

I have ultrasonically cleaned the NIB, feed, and section. Hand polished the Sterling Silver Cap, Barrel, and 18K Conical NIB. This fountain pen cap and barrel are in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, dents, or repairs with the cap always securing tightly to the barrel. I have cleaned, buffed, and polished the cap and barrel to bring back the shine of the Sterling Silver of the fountain pen. The cap displays the White Dot with a 23K Electroplated Gold Clip and Cap Banding. The cap banding is stamped with, "SHEAFFER U.S.A. STERLING SILVER 925 ". The cap and barrel is in great condition with no dings or denting and is Hallmarked with Sterling/925 assay marks. This Sheaffer Crest Reissue Fountain Pen measures 5 5/8" in length capped and 6 1/8" posted. The cap is extremely clean displaying no engravings to the panel designated for it. The pattern that is displayed on the cap and barrel is repeating interrupted Barleycorn pattern - the pattern is crisp with deep engraving.

This Sheaffer has a working Ink Converter filling system. I have tested the Ink Converter with water and works as it was intended to.

This Sheaffer has a Triumph Conical 2-Tone Palladium plated 18K/750 Gold Nib that writes smoothly. The Nib is designated as a Medium by the letter "M" on the back of the section with the actual iridium tip of this Sheaffer measuring roughly .64mm when measured with digital calipers. When writing a sample with this NIB, it writes with a medium to broad stroke/line. In the writing sample provided, the medium line measures at .69mm with light writing pressure and can flex up to 1.05mm under firm pressure when I measured with digital calipers. The writing sample was done with the actual pen in the images that are listed for sale. The writing sample was performed by dipping the Nib in Parker Quink Blue-Black Ink.

Comes with a Sheaffer Box with ink cartridges and Sheaffer documentation booklet.

The Sheaffer Sterling Silver Crest was the "Top of the Line" model in this reissue series. I would consider this Sheaffer to be in Excellent+ to Near Mint condition. The pen has been cleaned and tested and is ready to write and to be added to your writing arsenal collection.
