Description

For your consideration, we are offering for sale this super scarce 2003 Visconti Prototype Wall Street faceted Plunger-fill in Silver Laminated celluloid. This Visconti is a prototype salesman’s sample of the then soon-to-be-issued 2004 Limited Edition Wall Street Fountain Pen, with the unmarked cap band. This fountain pen has never seen ink and is considered in New Old Stock, and Mint Condition.

NOTE: This fountain pen was acquired from the late Gary Lehrer back in 2012. The fountain pen is on his "GoPens" website in Catalog 64 - this is that same pen. This writing instrument is the precursor to the Wall Street Fountain Pen that Visconti is known for. The unique "prototype" feature is the cap banding does not have the limited edition number of the cap banding nor "WALL STREET" stamping. This fountain pen is in new old stock condition with a clean cap, barrel, and palladium-plated trim. The material on this fountain pen is similar to the old Vacumatics, it is a transparent silver laminated design that one can see through. The clip displays Visconti on both sides and on top of the cap. The barrel is perfect with no scratches or repairs.

This Visconti uses the patented "power-fill" plunger filling system. I tested it with water and fills as it was designed.

The cap and barrel are in perfect condition with no cracks, nicks, scratches, or repairs. The cap type is a "screw-on" type that secures to the barrel every time. The trim is perfect with no scratches, wear, or brassing. This fountain pen measures 5 3/4" capped and 7" posted.

The nib is marked Visconti with 18K/750 Fine Nib. The nib has a fine point measuring .57mm when using digital calipers. I have never inked this pen and wanted to keep it in New Old Stock condition for the next owner.

The Visconti is one of those modern fountain pens that most will never be able to secure in a high-profile collection. This one is mint and being a prototype from Gary Lehrer's collection makes it even more special!
