With its clear design, the barrel brings back to life the Age of Industrialisation. The finely engraved M on the rhodium-plated 18-karat gold nib is reminiscent not only of a great financier but also of his immortal legacy: the Morgan Library.
The cap and barrel are in perfect condition with no cracks, nicks, dings, dents, or repairs. The cap is always securing tightly to the barrel. The 18K gold and alternating gold and carbon fiber chevron pattern cap work is beautiful and very detailed. The entire fountain pen shines brilliantly. This Montblanc is a limited edition number, "175 of 888" and is imprinted on the blind cap. The 18K solid gold barrel is stamped with, " 750, StØD, 750Balance/Scale, and Bear's Head". The original "MEDIUM" sticker is still attached to the cap.
The fountain pen measures 5 5/8" capped and 6 5/8" posted.
This Montblanc fountain pen uses a piston filling system, I have tested it with water, and works as it was designed to. It is in perfect working order and does so very smoothly. This pen has never seen ink and is in considered in Mint, New Old Stock condition.
The Rhodium-plated 18K/750 gold nib

The nib point (iridium) measures .86mm when measured with digital calipers.
