For your consideration, we are offering for sale this 2002 S.T. DUPONT TAJ MAHAL Limited Edition 513 of 1000 Fountain pen fitted with an 18K gold Medium Nib. The fountain pen has never seen ink and comes with the original S.T. Dupont literature, warranty cards, and a wooden S.T. Dupont box. I consider this S.T. Dupont Taj Mahal Limited Edition Fountain Pen in Never Inked, Mint, New Old Stock Condition.

This limited edition S.T. Dupont Taj Mahal is based uses the Olympio form design and draws inspiration from this legendary monument to create an exceptional fountain pen which illustrates the brand's unique expertise, using the finest and most precious materials such as platinum and mother of pearl. Slim guilloched curves pick out the floral motifs similar to those carved on the monument, while the gleam of iridescent mother-of-pearl inlay brings to mind the shimmering beauty of the white marble. The marble-like beauty of these rare materials is enhanced by the deep green radiance of Alpinite (which is difficult to capture in the images).   

This fountain pen cap and barrel are in magnificent condition with no dings, dents, enamel loss, repairs, or damage, with the cap always securing tightly to the barrel via a friction fit. The clip is stamped with, "S.T. DuPont Paris Made in France Limited Edition number "513/1000". There are no monograms or personalizations on the cap or barrel. This S.T. DuPont Fountain Pen measures 5 13/16" in length capped and 6 7/8" posted. The diameter around the cap band measures 13.96mm, and the pen weighs 1.97 ounces.

The fountain pen will use an ink converter or cartridges. This fountain pen comes with an ink converter and works as designed in my tests with water. 

The NIB is an 18K/750 type with a medium point. The actual fountain pen tipping/iridium measures .77mm when measured using digital calipers. This pen was never inked, nor did I ink it, only to keep it in New Old Stock condition for the new collector. These S.T. Dupont nibs are typically known for their incredibly smooth writing  - I am sure this one will not disappoint.

The fountain pen comes with the original box, warranty card, and S.T. DuPont literature. 

S.T. Dupont Fountain Pens are some of the best writing instruments made in the world.  The Taj Mahal Limited Edition demonstrates the precision craftsmanship S.T. Dupont is known for and created a work of art. I would grade this fountain pen in mint condition, with it never being inked. This gorgeous example will stand out in your writing arsenal collection!
