Description

For your consideration, we are offering for sale this Vintage circa 1970 Parker 75 Sterling Silver Crosshatch Grid pattern Fountain Pen with Gold Plate Trim fitted with a 14K Extra Fine Point USA NIB. This fountain pen has been thoroughly taken apart, ultrasonically cleaned, put back together, and is now in excellent writing condition. The condition of this Parker 75 is pristine!

I have cleaned and polished the barrel and cap to bring back the shine of the sterling silver. This Parker 75 displays brightly and is in incredibly great condition. This Parker 75 is a Crosshatch Grid Pattern model made between 1964 to 1993 - this one will date around 1970 or earlier due to key features on the pen which are the flat tassies, metal converter, the section with angle indicator showing no "ZERO", "XF" nib/feed imprint, being made in the USA (not France), and the imprint on the cap banding. The flat tassies were phased out around 1970 and the "O" on the angle indicator on the section was removed roughly at that time as well.

The fountain pen cap and barrel are in magnificent condition with no dings, dents, or repairs with the slip cap always securing tightly to the barrel. The Cap Lip is stamped with, "PARKER STERLING SILVER PARKER LOGO MADE IN U.S.A.". There are no monograms or personalizations to the cap or barrel. This Parker 75 measures 5 1/8" capped and 5 5/8" posted.

This Parker 75 has an ink converter filling unit and I have tested it with water and fills as it should. It is a Parker factory ink converter.

The pen is fitted with a 14K gold Extra-Fine nib and is stamped, "PARKER 14K POINT USA". When measuring the actual tip of the 14K nib it measures at .47mm when measuring with digital calipers. The back of the feed shows the letters "XF" for extra-fine. When writing a sample, this NIB writes with an extra fine line/stroke. The strokes measure between .42mm to .55mm when measured with digital calipers under light to medium pressure. The sample was done with the actual pen in the images that are listed for sale. The writing sample was used by dipping the NIB in Parker Blue Ink.

The Parker 75 comes with the box shown in the images and is in very good condition. No ink staining inside the brown velvet-lined box.

This Parker 75 Crosshatch Grid Fountain Pen is a beautiful clean and classy fountain pen. I would consider this Parker 75 to grade in Near Mint Condition. It will be hard to beat a better Parker 75 pen than this one, it is pristine!
