For your consideration, we are offering for sale this Never Inked, Mint Condition 2005 Pelikan M620 Grand Places - Piazza Navona (Rome) Special Edition Fountain Pen. This fountain pen has never seen ink and comes with Pelikan literature, tag, and original inner and outer boxes. I consider this M620 in New Old Stock, Never Inked, Mint Condition.

NOTE: “Piazza Navona – Gateway to the history of Rome: Rome’s historical square in the valley of the Tiber at the foot of the Quirinal Hill is impressive in a number of ways: the Piazza Navona. Built by the Emperor Domitian in AD 86 as a stadium for Greek athletes in competition, even today the foundations of the neighboring houses there follow the course of the grandstands of antiquity. Architectural masterpieces have repeatedly been created on their ruins in the past two thousand years. Alongside the family palace built by Pope Innozenz X. Pamphilj in the Baroque era and the house church bordering it, one of the most beautiful of Baroque fountains, the ‘Fontana dei Fiumi’ – (Fountain of the rivers) was built by Gian Lorenzo Bernini in 1648-51. Into the 1800s, Piazza Navona was used as the stage for many imposing spectacles, for which it was even flooded to recreate historical sea battles. Whether antiquity, middle-ages or modern times, renaissance or Baroque – there is hardly a more fascinating collection of impressive witnesses to the epochs. Pelikan devotes its beautiful Special Edition to this magical Piazza”

There are absolutely no nicks, chips, cracks, or repairs to this fountain pen. The cap of this fountain pen displays the gold-plated clip and cap banding. The cap banding is stamped with, "PELIKAN SOUVERAN GERMANY". The cap and barrel are excellent with the cap always securing tightly to the barrel. There are no monograms or personalizations to either the cap or barrel. This Pelikan M620 was manufactured in Germany in 2005 and has the two chick cap logo on top of the cap. This Pelikan M620 measures 5 1/4" inches in length capped and 6 1/8" inches posted.

The Piston Filler works with such ease in my tests with water. The piston filler works flawlessly and operates smoothly.

The NIB is an 18C - 750 two-tone type with a medium point. The actual fountain pen tipping/iridium measures .85mm when measured using digital calipers. This pen was never inked nor did I ink it only to keep it in New Old Stock condition for the new collector.
