Description

For your consideration, we are offering for sale this Never Inked, Mint Condition 2004 Pelikan Limited Edition 356 of 445  The Seven Wonders of the World - The Pyramids of Giza Fountain Pen fitted with an 18K Medium Nib. This fountain pen has never seen ink and comes with the Pelikan Limited Edition Certificate, Literature, Service Card, and original inner and outer boxes. I consider this Pelikan The Seven Wonders of the World - The Pyramids of Giza Fountain pen in Never Inked, Mint Condition.

NOTE: The Seven Wonders of the World - The Pyramids of Giza fountain pen pays tribute to a historic masterwork that remains unique in its dimensions. Between 2950 and 2470 B.C. monuments were created, in the form of tombs of the Egyptian pharaohs Cheops, Chepren, and Mycerinus, which have survived throughout the eons to the present day. These burial places of the pharaohs and kings are the source of inspiration for a work of art that will delight lovers of writing as much as fans of ancient Egypt with its masterly working of quality materials. And it's the numerous painstaking details that make these Pelikan fountain pens really special - the shape of the cap heads pays tribute to the crown of the Pharaoh Cheops. The special execution of the Pelikan logo in high relief also demonstrates that a fascinating gem among fountain pens has been created.

There are absolutely no nicks, chips, cracks, wear, dings, dents, or repairs to this fountain pen. The pen is stamped with, "PELIKAN GERMANY", at the base of the gold plate cap. The cap and barrel are excellent with the cap always securing tightly to the barrel. There are no monograms or personalizations to either the cap or barrel. This Pelikan The Seven Wonders of the World - The Pyramids of Giza Fountain Pen was manufactured in Germany in 2004 and is the first of the series representing the Seven Wonders of the World that Pelikan manufactured. This Pelikan measures 6 1/8" inches long when closed and an extraordinary 8 7/8" inches when posted.

The fountain pen uses a piston filler filling system. The piston filler works with such ease in my tests with water. The piston filler works flawlessly and operates smoothly every time!

The back side of the cap is stamped with the limited edition number "356/445".

The NIB is an 18C/750 Medium point. The fountain pen tipping/iridium measures .85mm when measured using digital calipers. This pen was never inked nor did I ink it so it would be kept it in New Old Stock condition for the new collector.

All of the original boxes and documentation accompany the fountain pen. All are in excellent condition and complete. The ink bottle is unopened and in perfect condition.

The Pelikan The Seven Wonders of the World - The Pyramids of Giza is a fountain pen like you have never seen before. The boxing, the work of the pen, and its extraordinary craftsmanship set this rare example from many of the Pelikan pens you have come to know. This particular Pelikan doesn't get any better - uninked, mint condition, with all the documentation. It is a grail pen for most Pelikan collectors and a spectacular addition to one's writing arsenal collection!
