For your consideration, we are offering for sale this Gorgeous 1950s-60s Waterman C/F Fountain Pen and Twist Activated Pencil in the Silver Moire pattern. This fountain pen has been thoroughly taken apart, cleaned, and put back together and now is in wonderful writing condition.
Ultrasonically cleaned the NIB, feed, and section. Polished the outside caps and barrels. Hand cleaned the fountain pen inside cap and barrel. This fountain pen has a gorgeous and bright white Silver Moire chasing pattern. The chasing is very crisp on both the cap and barrel of each pen and pencil. The barrel on both pens is stamped with, "WATERMAN C/F MADE IN FRANCE".
The fountain pen cap is a slip type cap that is always securing to the barrel. The pencil is a twist activated type that works as designed. There are no monograms or personalizations to either the pen or the pencil. There are no dings, dents, cracks, nicks, or repairs to either the pen or pencil. This Waterman CF Fountain Pen measures 5 3/8" in length capped and 5 7/8" posted. The ballpoint pen measures 5 1/4" in length.
The filling system for the fountain pen is via an Ink Converter. I had to purchase a brand new old stock, never used, ink converter for this pen. Those that know, these C/F ink converters are hard to come by as they are no longer being made.
The fountain pen has a 750/18K White Gold Semi-Hooded nib that has a broad point measuring .90mm when measured with digital calipers. When writing the sample in the listing images, the NIB writes with a fine line measuring roughly .46mm with very light pressure and will flex up to a broad line of 1.11mm with medium pressure when measured with digital calipers. The writing sample provided was done with the actual pen in the images that are listed for sale. The writing sample was used by dipping the NIB in Parker Quink Blue Ink. The nib writes very smoothly.
This Waterman C/F Set comes in the original box with Waterman paper documentation. I would consider the box to be in excellent condition.
This Waterman C/F set is in Extraordinary Condition that I would consider to grade in condition in Excellent+ to Near Mint. A real time capsule and superb writing instrument set from the 1950s-60s to add to your writing arsenal collection!
