I have ultrasonically cleaned the NIB, feed, and section. Hand polished the 22K Gold Electroplate Cap and Barrel, Cleaned the 14K Nib and Feed/Stem, and Section. Cleaned, Buffed, and Polished the barrel and cap to bring back the shine of the metal. This Parker 75 is an Imperial model made between 1973 and 1978 and measures 5 1/8" capped and 5 5/8" posted.
The fountain pen cap, barrel, and blind cap are in magnificent condition with no dings, dents, or repairs with the slip cap always securing tightly to the barrel. The Cap has Parker Made in U.S.A. stamped on the back of the cap. There are no monograms or personalizations to either the cap or barrel.
This Parker 75 has an ink converter filling unit and I have tested with water and fills as it should. Works as it is designed to.
The Parker NIB is 14K medium and writes with a smooth stroke. The actual writing portion (iridium) of the 14K Parker NIB has a medium point measuring roughly .66mm when measured with digital calipers. When writing a sample with this NIB, it writes with a medium stroke/line. In the writing sample provided, the medium line measures between .65mm and .88mm when measured with digital calipers. The writing sample was done with the actual pen in the images that are listed for sale. The writing sample was used by dipping the NIB in Parker Quink Blue Ink.
Any specks of white in the images are from the cotton that I used to clean the barrel and cap.
This Parker 75 Imperial Fountain Pen is exceptional in the condition and a fantastic writer. I would consider this Parker to grade in Excellent Condition. It is a classy Fountain Pen that is ready to write or just add it to your writing arsenal collection.
