PLEASE NOTE: This listing is for a fountain pen restoration service, not the purchase of a fountain pen. You will be sending your own fountain pen to Antique Digger for professional restoration.
This service covers the restoration of one eligible Parker Vacumatic, Parker 51 Vacumatic, Parker 51 Aerometric, or Parker VS fountain pen. The appropriate filling-system component will be replaced according to the specific model, including a new diaphragm for applicable Vacumatic models or a new sac/bladder for applicable Aerometric and VS models. The service also includes cleaning the pen, cleaning and adjusting the nib, and testing the filling system and writing performance, with the goal of returning your vintage Parker to proper working order.
Parker produced some of the most recognizable and enduring fountain pens of the twentieth century. From the innovative Vacumatic filling system to the iconic Parker 51 and its dependable Aerometric filler, these classic writing instruments remain highly sought after by collectors and enthusiasts. With proper restoration, many can return to dependable service while retaining their original character.
What This Restoration Service Includes
I will restore your eligible Parker fountain pen with the goal of returning it to proper working order.
For Parker Vacumatic and Parker 51 Vacumatic models, the service includes replacement of the filling-system diaphragm. For eligible Aerometric models, the service includes replacement of the ink sac or bladder as appropriate to the filling system.
The service also includes cleaning the pen, cleaning and adjusting the nib, and testing the filling system and writing performance following restoration.
My goal is to restore the proper operation of your vintage Parker while preserving its original materials, finish, and character as much as possible.
Replacement Parts & Additional Repairs
The listed service price does not include broken, damaged, or missing parts beyond the components specified in the restoration service.
If I discover that your pen requires additional parts or repairs, I will contact you before proceeding. If suitable replacement parts are available, I will explain the additional costs so you can decide whether you wish to continue.
No additional repair work will be performed without your approval.
Please note that the availability and cost of replacement parts can vary depending on the Parker model and the specific repair required.
Important Notice Regarding Vintage Fountain Pens
Many of these Parker fountain pens are several decades old. Over time, celluloid, plastic, hard rubber, and other materials can become brittle, fragile, or weakened.
Although I take care when handling and restoring every pen, aged materials may crack, break, discolor, or otherwise fail during the restoration process.
Antique Digger cannot guarantee that every aged component will withstand restoration. The risk of damage due to the condition and fragility of vintage materials must be considered before submitting your pen for service.
If your pen breaks during restoration and cannot reasonably be returned to working condition, I will return the pen to you and refund the restoration-service payment, less applicable shipping costs.
Return Shipping & Insurance
If you would like your restored fountain pen insured during return shipping, please email me with your requested insurance amount. I will calculate the additional shipping and insurance charges and provide an invoice.
Please package your fountain pen securely when shipping it to Antique Digger to help protect it during transit.
