The barrel and cap are gorgeous with beautiful black color, polished with a high shine. There are absolutely no nicks, chips, cracks or repairs to this fountain pen. This is a high-end Waterman from early the 2000s, the Serenite has a curved shape with a Japanese motif. Made of Black Resin with Sterling Accents and 18K Medium - Smooth Writing Nib. The cap and barrel are excellent with the cap always securing tightly when capped or posted. The barrel has the serial number, 22188, stamped into the end of the barrel material. There are no monograms or personalizations to either the cap or barrel. This Waterman Serenite measures 5 5/8" inches in length capped and 6 1/2" inches posted.
This Waterman is Sterling Hallmarked on the Cap Banding. The NIB is an 18K solid gold, Rhodium masked, Medium Nib that writes so smoothly. The tipping measures 1.02mm when measured with digital calipers. This pen can be used with ink cartridges (black and blue ink cartridges came in the box) or the accompanying ink-converter as seen in the image. I have only dip tested this Waterman to perform a writing sample, which will write with a medium line of .73mm on when measured with digital calipers in the writing sample listed.
The ink converter is unused and ready for your ink.
This pen has the original outer box and blue inner box. Has all the paperwork, blue and black ink cartridges, and soft polishing cloth. The factory boxes are in excellent condition.
This is a beautifulWaterman Serenite in Black Resin with Sterling Trim that really makes this pen stand out from the rest. It is ready to write or add to your writing arsenal collection. Certainly, this is a pen that you can cherish and pass down from generation to generation. Again, it is New Old Stock, Mint Condition, with an 18K Nib.
