For your consideration, we are offering for sale this Restored 1930s Carter's Black with Red Banding Ringtop Fountain Pen. This fountain pen has been thoroughly taken apart, cleaned and put back together and now is in wonderful writing condition

Ultrasonically cleaned the NIB, feed, and section. Replaced the old rubber sac with a new rubber sac.

This fountain pen is made from black celluloid with a red celluloid banding on the upper cap. The celluloid displays a deep black color and both the cap and barrel are in excellent condition. The barrel has very crisp imprints at the center of the barrel that reads, "CARTER'S PATENTED THE CARTER'S INK CO BOSTON - NEW YORK - CHICAGO".

The threads on the cap and barrel are excellent with the cap always securing tightly. There are no monograms or personalizations. There are no cracks, nicks or repairs to the celluloid. This Carter Fountain Pen measures 4 1/2" in length capped and 5 5/8" posted. The lever and box assembly has been cleaned and oiled. It works flawlessly and smoothly.

The Carter Fountain Pen has a 14K Nib that is stamped with, "CARTER SUPERWEAR PEN". When measuring the actual iridium tip of the NIB, it measures at a medium (.63mm) point when using digital calipers. When writing the sample in the listing images, the NIB writes with a medium line that ranges from .61mm with very light pressure up to .75mm with medium pressure when measuring with digital calipers. The writing sample provided was done with the actual pen in the images that is listed for sale. I have tested the filling mechanism with water and fills wonderfully. The writing sample was used by dipping the NIB in Parker Quink Blue Ink.

Any specks of white in the images are from the cotton that I used to clean the barrel and cap.

This is a beautiful Carter Fountain Pen that is in ready to write condition. This Carter Fountain Pen has been well preserved with perfect color and, I consider, in collector grade condition! I would grade this Carter Fountain Pen in Excellent condition. A superb writing instrument to add to your writing arsenal collection!
