1935 PARKER MOTTLED BURGUNDY DOUBLE JEWEL VACUMATIC JR FOUNTAIN PEN RESTORED

$225.00
For your consideration we are offering for sale this Restored 1935 Parker Mottled Burgundy Celluloid Double Jewel Vacumatic Junior (Larger Diameter Size) Fountain Pen. This fountain pen has been thoroughly taken apart, cleaned and put back together and now is in wonderful operating and writing condition.

I have ultrasonically cleaned the NIB, feed, section, breather tube, cap and barrel. Replaced the old diaphragm with a new, properly sized one. Hand polished the Gold Filled Feather Clip, Gold Filled Two Ring Cap Banding, bottle gold filled tassel and 14K NIB. Cleaned, Buffed, Polished & Waxed the barrel and cap to bring back the vibrancy and clarity of fountain pen barrel and cap.

This fountain pen cap and barrel are in magnificent condition with no cracks or repairs with the cap always securing tightly to the barrel. The barrel displays good transparency, a person can easily see through the barrel, albeit with mild ambering. The cap has the Feather Gold Filled Clip, which displays minor brassing on the high areas of the clip. The double cap bands display excellent gold filled color with no brassing. The top and bottom jewels are black and have been polished to shine again. The barrel is stamped clearly with, "GEO S. PARKER PARKER VACUMATIC MADE IN USA PAT with Dated code 1935 in the 2nd Quarter". The jeweled blind cap securely fits. There are no monograms or personalizations to either the cap or barrel. This Parker Vacumatic Fountain Pen is a Junior Model that has a wider diameter cap and barrel than the standard juniors. It measures 4 7/8" in length capped and 5 13/16" posted.

The Vacumatic Filling System works great, typically in my tests with water about 6-7 presses and it will fill 7/8 full. This Vacumatic has the correct lock down filling unit, typical on 1st generation Vacumatics. This filling unit has been greased and now operates as it was designed to.

This 14K Parker Split Arrow NIB has a medium point / tip measuring roughly .62mm, when measured with digital calipers. The NIB is the Split Arrow Parker U.S.A. style that is correct to this period of pen. The iridium is completely intact and does provide a user an excellent writing experience, in my opinion. When writing a sample the NIB writes with an extra fine line to a broad stroke / line. The writing sample provided in the image has a extra fine stroke that measures .44mm and can flex to a broad stroke of roughly 1.02mm with firm / medium pressure. The sample was done with the actual pen in the images that is listed for sale. The writing sample was used by dipping the NIB in Parker Quink Blue - Black Ink.

Any specks of white in the images are from the cotton that I used to clean the barrel and cap.

This is a vibrant vintage Parker Vacumatic Fountain Pen in the Mottled Burgundy Celluloid and would grade it in very fine to excellent condition. It has beautiful color and is ready to write or just add to writing arsenal collection.
