$525.00
For your consideration we are offering for sale this Gorgeous Restored 1939 Senior Maxima Parker Double Jewel Jet Black Celluloid Fountain Pen. This fountain pen has been thoroughly taken apart, cleaned and put back together and now is in wonderful writing condition.

The NIB, Feed, Section and Breather Tube have been ultrasonically cleaned. I replaced the old diaphragm with a new, properly sized one. Hand polished the Gold Filled Feather Split Arrow Clip, Chevron Cap (///\\\) Banding, 14K Parker NIB and bottom tassel. Cleaned, Buffed, Polished and Waxed the barrel, cap, and blind cap to bring back the vibrancy of fountain pen and to protect the celluloid. This Parker Vacumatic is a Senior Maxima that measures 5 3/8" capped and 6 1/8" posted.

This fountain pen cap and barrel are in magnificent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs and the cap always securing tightly to the barrel. The Jet Black color is timeless and classic, just simple and beautiful. The cap has the Feather Split Arrow Gold Filled Clip with the Chevron Cap Banding that displays just a hint of brassing. The top and bottom jewels are black to match the cap, barrel and blind cap of the fountain pen and have been polished to a high shine. The barrel is clearly stamped with, "Geo. S. Parker Vacumatic Made in U.S.A. with date code 9 (for 1939) in the 4th Quarter". The blind cap securely fits. The cap and barrel are free of any personalizations or monograms.

This Parker Maxima Vacumatic retains the correct "Speedline" filling unit that was produced for 2nd Generation Vacumatic. works flawlessly. I have tested the filling mechanism with water and fills as it should. The Speedline Vacumatic Filling System works great, typically in my tests with water about 8 presses to fill full. I have greased the filling unit so it operates smoothly.

This Parker NIB is a 14K Gold with a fine point that measures .50mm when measures with digital calipers. When writing a sample with this NIB, it writes with a fine stroke to medium stroke/line. In the writing sample provided, the fine line measures at .40mm and medium stroke/line measures .68mm when measuring with digital calipers. The writing sample was done with the actual pen in the images that are listed for sale. The writing sample was used by dipping the NIB in Parker Quink Blue Ink.

Any specks of white in the images are from the cotton that I used to clean the barrel and cap.

This vintage Parker Vacumatic Senior Maxima size Fountain Pen is classic, sleek, and refined - it makes a statement and doesn't get much better than this. I would consider this Maxima to be in Excellent Condition that is ready to write with or just add it to your writing arsenal collection.
