For your consideration, we are offering for sale this Beautifully Restored 1942 Parker Azure Pearl Celluloid Fountain Pen in the Major Size. This fountain pen has been thoroughly taken apart, cleaned and put back together and now is in wonderful writing condition.

I have ultrasonically cleaned the NIB, feed, section, breather tube, and barrel. Replaced the old diaphragm with a new, properly sized one. Hand polished the Gold Filled Split Arrow Clip, Gold Filled Two-Ring Cap Banding and 14K NIB. Cleaned, Buffed, and Polished the barrel, cap, and blind cap to bring back the vibrancy and to protect the material of the fountain pen. This Parker Vacumatic is a major size (but known as a Junior due to the 2 Ring Cap Banding and Non-Blue Diamond Clip) that measures 5 1/8" in length capped and 6" posted.

This fountain pen cap and barrel are in magnificent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs with the cap always securing tightly to the barrel. The cap has the split arrow gold filled clip and is in perfect condition with no brassing. The 2 ring cap banding that is in excellent condition with no brassing. The top jewel is black and has been polished to bring back a gorgeous shine. The barrel is clearly stamped with, "Geo. S. Parker Vacumatic Made in U.S.A. with a date code 2 (for 1942) in the 1st quarter". The transparency of the barrel is near water clear, one can easily see through it and displays minor to mild ambering. The blind cap securely fits. There are no monograms or personalizations to the cap or barrel.

The Vacumatic Filling System works great, typically in my tests with water about 7-8 presses to fill full. I have greased the filling unit so it operates smoothly and now operates flawlessly.

The Parker NIB is a 14K gold Split Arrow Medium Point NIB. The actual writing portion of the 14K Parker NIB has a medium point measuring roughly .68mm when measured with digital calipers and writes smoothly. When writing a sample, this NIB writes with a fine to broad line variation. The fine line/stroke measures at .48mm with light pressure and the broad line measures 1.03mm when measured with digital calipers under medium pressure. The sample was done with the actual pen in the images that are listed for sale. The nib is a pleasure to write with and does so smoothly. The writing sample was used by dipping the NIB in Parker Quink Blue Ink.

Any specks of white in the images are from the cotton that I used to clean the barrel and cap.

This is a Vintage Parker Vacumatic Fountain Pen that displays a lovely Azure Pearl color. I grade this Parker Vac in Excellent Condition. It is ready to write or just add to writing arsenal collection.
