1944 PARKER STRIPED SENIOR DUOFOLD DUSTY ROSE CELLULOID FOUNTAIN PEN RESTORED

$245.00
For your consideration we are offering for sale this Fabulous 1944 Parker Duofold Senior Dusty Rose Celluloid Fountain Pen in restored condition. This fountain pen has been thoroughly taken apart, cleaned and put back together and now is in wonderful writing condition.

I have ultrasonically cleaned the NIB, feed, section, breather tube, cap and barrel. Replaced the old diaphragm with a new, properly sized one. Hand polished the Gold Filled Blue Diamond Clip, Chevron Cap Banding and 14K Gold NIB. Cleaned, Buffed, Polished & Waxed the barrel, cap and blind cap to bring back the vibrancy and to protect the celluloid of the fountain pen.

This fountain pen cap and barrel are in magnificent condition with no chips, cracks, teeth marks or repairs with the cap always securing tightly to the barrel. The cap has the Blue Diamond Gold Filled clip with just a hint of brassing on the edge near the Blue Diamond area, really only seen magnification. The Gold Filled Chevron Cap Band displays a wonderful gold filled color. The top jewel is black and polished to a great shine The barrel is clearly stamped with, "PARKER DUOFOLD MADE IN U.S.A. with date code 4 in the third quarter". The transparency of the barrel is great as one can easily see through it. The blind cap securely fits. There are no monograms or personalizations on the cap or barrel. This Senior Parker Duofold Fountain Pen measures 5 3/8" in length capped and 6 1/8" posted.

The Vacu-Fill System works great, typically in my tests with water about 5 to 7 presses and it will roughly 7/8 full. This Vacu-Fill unit is in excellent condition; it operates smoothly and works flawlessly.

The actual writing portion of the 14K Parker NIB has a medium point measuring roughly .64mm when measured with digital calipers. When writing a sample, the NIB writes with a fine to double broad stroke line. The writing sample provided in the image has a fine stroke measuring at .55mm and can flex to a double broad stroke of roughly 1.24mm with medium to firm pressure, I did not want to overextend the NIBs capabilities. The writing sample was done with the actual pen in the images that is listed for sale. I have tested the filling mechanism with water and fills as it should. The writing sample was used by dipping the NIB in Parker Quink Blue-Black Ink.

Any specks of white in the images are from the cotton that I used to clean the barrel and cap.

This is a fabulous vintage Senior Parker Duofold Fountain Pen in the Dusty Rose Celluloid that would grade in the Excellent Condition. Certainly has gorgeous coloring and this writing instrument is ready to write or just add to writing arsenal collection.
