For your consideration, we are offering for sale this Fabulous Restored 1945 Parker Senior Duofold Fountain Pen in the Blue-Gray Celluloid. This fountain pen has been thoroughly taken apart, cleaned, put back together and now is in wonderful writing condition.

I have ultrasonically cleaned the NIB, feed, section, breather tube, and barrel. Replaced the old diaphragm with a new, properly sized one. Hand polished the Gold Filled Blue Diamond Clip, Chevron Cap Banding and 14K Gold NIB. I have also cleaned, buffed, and polished the barrel, cap, and blind cap to bring back the vibrancy and to protect the celluloid of the fountain pen.

This fountain pen cap and barrel are in magnificent condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs with the cap always securing tightly to the barrel. The cap has the Blue Diamond Gold Filled clip with no brassing. The Gold Filled Chevron Cap Band displays a wonderful gold filled color, also, with no brassing. The top jewel is black and polished to a great shine The barrel is clearly stamped with, "PARKER DUOFOLD MADE IN U.S.A. with date code 5 (for 1945) in the 4th quarter". The transparency of the barrel is Clear as one can easily see through it, albeit with mild ambering. The blind cap securely fits. There are no monograms or personalizations on the cap or barrel. This Senior Parker Duofold Fountain Pen measures 5 3/8" in length capped and 6 1/8" posted.

The Vacumatic Filling System works great, typically in my tests with water about 7 to 9 presses and it will fill full. This Vacumatic Filling unit is in excellent condition; it has been greased and now operates smoothly and works flawlessly.

This Parker Duofold has the highly sought after 14K "V" NIB and has a 1945 date code which makes it a marriage to the rest of the pen - this nib is smooth and almost feels like it glides across the paper. The actual writing portion (iridium) of the 14K Parker "V" NIB has a medium point measuring roughly .60mm when measured with digital calipers. When writing a sample, the NIB writes with a medium to broad stroke/line. The writing sample provided in the image has a medium stroke measuring at .67mm and can flex to a broad stroke of roughly 1.03mm with medium to firm pressure when measuring with digital calipers. The writing sample was done with the actual pen in the images that are listed for sale. The writing sample was used by dipping the NIB in Parker Quink Blue Ink.

Any specks of white in the images are from the cotton that I used to clean the barrel and cap.

This is a gorgeous Senior Parker Duofold Fountain Pen in the Dusty Rose Celluloid that is increasingly harder and harder to acquire, especially in this condition. I would grade this Parker Striped Duofold in Excellent Condition. Certainly, a collector grade writing instrument and is ready to write or just add to writing arsenal collection.
