1946 PARKER EMERALD PEARL VACUMATIC MAJOR FOUNTAIN PEN RESTORED FABULOUS COLOR

$200.00
For your consideration, we are offering for sale this Beautifully Restored 1946 Parker Vacumatic Emerald Pearl Celluloid Fountain Pen in the Major Size. This fountain pen has been thoroughly taken apart, cleaned and put back together and now is in wonderful writing condition.

I have ultrasonically cleaned the NIB, feed, section, breather tube, and barrel. Replaced the old diaphragm with a new, properly sized one. Hand polished the Gold Filled Blue Diamond Arrow Clip, Gold Filled Chevron Cap Banding (\\\///) and 14K NIB. Cleaned, Buffed, Polished and Waxed the barrel, cap, and blind cap to bring back the vibrancy and to protect the material of fountain pen. This Parker Vacumatic is a major size that measures 5 1/8" in length capped and 6" posted.

This fountain pen cap and barrel are in magnificent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs with the cap always securing tightly to the barrel. Just to point out - The "emerald green" color on this Parker Vacumatic is a "deep electric" green - very different than what I have typically seen. The cap has the blue diamond gold filled clip that does not display any brassing. The chevron cap banding is in excellent condition with no brassing. The top jewel is black and has been polished to bring back a gorgeous shine. The barrel is clearly and crisply stamped with, "Geo. S. Parker Vacumatic Made in U.S.A. with date code 6, for 1946, in the fourth quarter". The transparency of the barrel is near clear and one can easily see through the barrel, albeit with minor ambering. The blind cap securely fits. There are no monograms or personalizations to either the cap or barrel.

The Vacumatic Filling System has the proper plastic filling unit for this 3rd Generation Vacumatic. It works great, typically in my tests with water about 7-8 presses to fill full. I have greased the filling unit so it operates smoothly and flawlessly.

The Parker NIB is a 14K gold Split Arrow Nib. The actual tip/writing portion of the 14K Parker NIB has a fine point measuring roughly .55mm when measured with digital calipers. When writing a sample, this NIB writes with a medium to broad stroke. In the writing sample provided, the medium line measures at .60mm and the broad stroke measures 1.14mm when measured with digital calipers under medium to firm pressure. The sample was done with the actual pen in the images that are listed for sale. The writing sample was used by dipping the NIB in Parker Quink Blue Ink.

Any specks of white in the images are from the cotton that I used to clean the barrel and cap.

This Parker Vacumatic Fountain Pen displays a lovely "Electric" Emerald Pearl color with great bright gold filled trim. I grade this Parker Vac in Excellent Condition. It is ready to write or just add to writing arsenal collection.
