Introduced in 1973, the Parker 75 Imperial quickly became one of the most refined variations of Parker's flagship writing instrument. Distinguished by its sophisticated engraved pattern of alternating polished panels and groups of five finely engraved vertical lines, the Imperial offered a timeless balance of understated elegance and modern luxury. Produced until 1978, the model remains one of the most recognizable and desirable Parker 75 finishes, admired for both its distinctive appearance and exceptional craftsmanship.
This particular example dates to the final years of Imperial production and has survived in remarkable, never-inked condition. The 22K gold-plated cap and barrel retain their original factory brilliance with no dents, dings, scratches, repairs, or signs of use. The finely engraved Imperial pattern remains crisp and beautifully defined throughout, while the slip cap engages securely with the precision expected of Parker's finest writing instruments. The cap lip is clearly stamped "PARKER MADE IN U.S.A." together with the Parker logo hallmark. There are no monograms or personal engravings.
The Parker 75 remains one of the most comfortable fountain pens ever produced, measuring 5 1/8 inches capped, 5 5/8 inches posted, and weighs .78 ounces, and offering superb balance whether displayed in a collection or eventually placed into service.
The pen retains its original Parker cartridge/converter filling system. The converter has been tested with water only to verify proper operation while preserving the pen's untouched collector status. Parker ink cartridges may also be used.
Fitted with its original 14K Extra-fine nib, the nib is correctly engraved "14K POINT PARKER U.S.A." The feed is factory marked "XF" for Extra-fine, while the tipping measures approximately .60mm using digital calipers. In keeping with this pen's New Old Stock preservation, the nib has never been inked or dip-tested, ensuring the next owner receives it exactly as it left the Parker factory.
The fountain pen is accompanied by its original Parker presentation box, completing a package that serious Parker collectors always appreciate. Complete, boxed Parker 75 examples in Never Inked condition have become increasingly scarce as more have entered collections over the past four decades.
The Parker 75 remains one of the most iconic writing instruments of the twentieth century, celebrated for its precision engineering, interchangeable nib system, and enduring design. Among its many finishes, the Imperial stands apart for its elegant engraved pattern, classic proportions, and timeless appeal. Finding an untouched example such as this—complete with its original box and preserved in Mint, Never Inked condition—is becoming increasingly uncommon.
An exceptional opportunity to acquire one of Parker's most enduring classics—beautifully preserved exactly as collectors hope to find one. Whether destined for an advanced Parker collection or eventually enjoyed as a remarkable everyday writer, this Imperial represents the very best of the Parker 75 legacy.
