For your consideration, we are offering for sale this Beautiful Modern 1987 Parker Centennial Duofold Fountain Pen in the Blue Marble with Fine Oblique 18K Nib.

This Parker Duofold is the Centennial size (larger size compared to the International) and measures 5 3/8" capped and 6 3/4" posted.

This fountain pen cap and barrel are in magnificent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs and the cap always securing tightly to the barrel. The color is extremely vibrant and gorgeous to look at. The cap has the Feather Split Arrow 23K Gold Plated Clip with the Double Ring Cap Banding that is in perfect condition, no wear. The backside of the cap is clearly stamped with, "PARKER MADE IN U.K. with date code PE for 1987 in the 1st Quarter". The cap and barrel do not have any monograms or personalizations. No scratching or damage anywhere to this pen - looks to never have been used.

This Parker has an Ink Converter filling unit. I have tested the filling mechanism with water and fills as it should.

This Parker NIB is a PARKER 18K/750 Gold with a #87 Code NIB, which means it is a Fine Oblique. The 2-tone NIB is in fantastic condition and writes so smooth! The actual writing portion of the Parker NIB measures roughly .87mm when measured with digital calipers. When writing a sample with this NIB, it writes with .69mm medium stroke and can flex to roughly 1.14mm broad stroke with medium pressure when measuring with digital calipers. The writing sample was done with the actual pen in the images that are listed for sale. The writing sample was used by dipping the NIB in Parker Quink Blue Ink.

Any specks of white in the images are from the cotton that I used to clean the barrel and cap. There is no box.

This Parker Centennial Duofold is in Near Mint to Mint Condition with an uncommon Fine Oblique 18K Nib for your use. I only dipped the pen in ink to show a writing sample - I do not think it has ever been used or if it has, only a handful of times. This is ready to write or just add it to your writing arsenal collection.
