For your consideration, we are pleased to offer for sale this exceptional circa 1996 Sheaffer Triumph Imperial Model 2334 Fountain Pen, beautifully finished in the highly desirable White resin and fitted with a Medium inlaid nib. Preserved in Mint, New Old Stock, Never Inked condition, this outstanding example is complete with its original Sheaffer presentation box and factory literature.
NOTE: The White Imperial was produced for only a brief period, from 1995 through 1996, making it one of the shortest-lived color variations of the final-generation Imperial series. Today, it is widely regarded as one of the most sought-after and difficult-to-find modern Imperial finishes, especially in untouched collector-grade condition.
The Sheaffer Imperial represents one of the company's most recognizable and enduring designs. Continuing the legacy established in the 1960s, the late-production Imperials retained Sheaffer's legendary inlaid nib, streamlined profile, and exceptional writing characteristics while incorporating modern cartridge/converter convenience. Even decades after production ended, these pens remain favorites among collectors and everyday writers alike.
This example presents beautifully. The brilliant white resin cap and barrel remain flawless, free from chips, cracks, scratches, repairs, teeth marks, or signs of use. The polished chrome-plated trim provides a striking contrast against the bright white finish, while the signature spring-loaded "Loss-Proof" clip retains its crisp appearance with no brassing or plating wear. The White Dot remains perfect, symbolizing Sheaffer's commitment to quality. The sides of the clip are correctly stamped "SHEAFFER U.S.A." There are no monograms or personal engravings. The friction-fit cap seats securely to the barrel with the precise fit expected of a premium Sheaffer writing instrument.
The fountain pen measures approximately 5 1/2 inches capped, 5 3/4 inches posted, offering the comfortable proportions and excellent balance that have made the Imperial one of Sheaffer's most respected modern fountain pens.
The pen utilizes Sheaffer's proprietary cartridge/converter filling system, allowing the flexibility of bottled ink with the included Sheaffer converter or the convenience of Sheaffer ink cartridges. The original converter accompanies the pen and remains unused, preserving the pen's New Old Stock status.
Fitted with Sheaffer's iconic Medium inlaid nib, the tipping measures approximately 0.73mm using digital calipers. The underside of the section is correctly marked with a gold "M" designation for Medium. In keeping with this pen's pristine collector-grade condition, the nib has never been inked or dip-tested, allowing the next owner to experience it exactly as it left the Sheaffer factory.
Also included are the original Sheaffer presentation box and factory literature. The box remains exceptionally clean and free from ink stains, completing a package that collectors increasingly value.
The final-generation Sheaffer Imperials have quietly become one of the best values in modern American fountain pens. Their timeless styling, dependable performance, and distinctive inlaid nib design have earned them a loyal following, while short-production colors such as White have become increasingly scarce. Finding a Never Inked, complete example is becoming considerably more difficult with each passing year.
Whether preserved as the centerpiece of a Sheaffer collection or eventually enjoyed as an exceptional daily writer, this Model 2334 represents one of the finest surviving examples of the late Imperial series—a beautiful combination of classic American design, legendary Sheaffer craftsmanship, and true collector-grade preservation.
