For your consideration, we are offering for sale this Gorgeous Restored Circa 1930 Waterman #7 Jet Black Celluloid Fountain Pen with PINK Barrel Disc & Keyhole NIB. This fountain pen has been thoroughly taken apart, cleaned, and put back together and now is in wonderful writing condition.

Ultrasonically cleaned the NIB, feed, and section. Hand cleaned the inside of the barrel and cap. Cleaned and polished the outside of the cap and barrel. Replaced the old rubber sac with a new, properly sized, rubber sac. Hand polished the 18K Gold Filled Cap Banding, Gold Filled Waterman Clip, Gold Filled Lever Box Assembly along with the Waterman 14K PINK Keyhole NIB. The trim on this #7 has the high-end Deluxe Trim with the Knurled Edging and has been polished brightly to shine again.

This fountain pen is made from celluloid in Jet Black color. The black coloring is a deep black and has been polished to a fabulous shine. The barrel has the imprint at the center of the barrel that reads, "WATERMAN'S REG U.S. IDEAL GLOBE LOGO PAT. OFF. MADE IN U.S.A. FOUNTAIN PEN". The butt end of the fountain pen has the "PINK" disc with "7" imprint - I point out for clarity sake that the disc has a scratch on the left side that can be seen in the photo. The threads on the cap and barrel are excellent with the cap always securing tightly to the barrel. There are no monograms on the cap or barrel. There are no repairs or damage to the celluloid. This Waterman #7 measures 5 1/2" in length capped and 7" posted. The lever is crisp and clean. The clip and cap banding have been polished to shine brightly and display no wear.

The lever and box assembly has been cleaned and oiled. I have tested the lever filling systems with water and works flawlessly and as it originally intended to.

Here is the "fun" part of this fountain pen. The NIB is the ever-elusive Waterman #7 PINK NIB. The NIB is in wonderful condition that writes so smoothly. When measuring the actual tip of the 14K Pink NIB, it measures at .54mm with digital calipers. When writing the sample in the listing images, the NIB writes with an extra-fine line measuring roughly .43mm with very light pressure and flexes up to 2.06mm with normal to medium pressure; I didn't want to overextend the NIB's capabilities. The writing sample provided was done with the actual pen in the images that is listed for sale. The writing sample was used by dipping the NIB in Parker Quink Black Ink.

Any specks of white in the images are from the cotton that I used to clean the barrel and cap.

This is vintage Waterman #7 Fountain Pen is in ready to write condition. I would consider the condition of this Waterman #7 Fountain Pen to grade in excellent. These later Waterman numbered models are increasingly difficult to acquire, especially in this condition. This #7 Pink Keyhole Nib and Fountain Pen is the "Grail" pen that collectors desire in this series. A collector grade writing instrument to add to your writing arsenal collection!
