For your consideration we are offering for sale this Restored Circa 1927 Parker Senior Duofold Fountain Pen in Lapis with Blue on Blue color in Hard Rubber. This fountain pen has been thoroughly taken apart, ultrasonically cleaned and put back together and is now in wonderful writing condition.

I have ultrasonically cleaned the NIB, feed, section, and NIB. Replaced the old sac with a new, properly sized rubber sac. Hand polished the Gold Filled Parker Clip, Cap Banding, and 14K Duofold NIB. Cleaned, Buffed, Polished and Waxed the barrel, blind cap and cap to bring back the vibrancy of fountain pen and to protect the hard rubber. This Parker Duofold is the Senior Size and measures 5 1/2" capped and 6 1/2" posted.

The fountain pen cap, barrel, and blind cap are in magnificent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. The Cap has a Gold Filled Parker Clip with PAT SEPT 5 - 16 stamped and has been polished to shine bright - just a touch a brassing on the very top of the clip. The cap banding displays rich gold filled color with no brassing. The barrel is clearly and crisply stamped with, "GEO. S. PARKER DUOFOLD FOUNTAIN PEN JANESVILLE, WIS LUCKY CURVE U.S.A. PAT 4-25-11". There are no monograms or personalizations to either the cap or barrel. The color of this Parker is exceptional with the scarce Blue of Blue pattern. No darkening of the material - very much mint condition.

This Duofold has a button filling mechanism and I have tested with water and fills as it should. Works fantastic and as designed to.

This is the fun part of this Duofold. The Parker Duofold NIB is 14K that writes extremely smooth and has amazing flexibility - I cannot emphasize this enough! The actual writing portion of the 14K Parker NIB has a medium point measuring roughly .88mm when measured with digital calipers. When writing a sample with this NIB, it writes with a fine to triple broad stroke/line. In the writing sample provided, the fine line measures at .54mm and the triple broad line measures at 1.93mm with medium pressure when measured with digital calipers. The writing sample was done with the actual pen in the images that is listed for sale. The writing sample was used by dipping the NIB in Parker Quink Blue-Black Ink.

Any specks of white in the images are from the cotton that I used to clean the barrel and cap.

This is an Iconic vintage Parker Duofold Fountain Pen in the senior size. It is a scarce Duofold due to the Blue on Blue pattern and pile on top of that with the fully flexible original Parker Duofold Nib, it makes for a rare collector grade fountain pen. I would consider this Parker grade in Near Mint to Mint Condition. Hard pressed to find another in this type of condition. It is ready to write or just add it to your writing arsenal collection.
