For your consideration we are offering for sale this Restored Circa 1928 Parker Senior Duofold Fountain Pen in Blue Lapis. This fountain pen has been thoroughly taken apart, ultrasonically cleaned and put back together and is now in wonderful writing condition.

I have ultrasonically cleaned the NIB, feed, section, cap, and barrel. Replaced the old sac with a new, properly sized rubber sac. Hand polished the Gold Filled Parker Clip, Double Ring Cap Banding, and 14K Lucky Curve NIB. Cleaned, Buffed, Polished and Waxed the barrel, blind cap and cap to bring back the vibrancy of fountain pen and to protect the material. This Parker Duofold is the Senior Size and measures 5 1/2" capped and 6 1/2" posted.

The fountain pen cap, barrel, and blind cap are in magnificent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. The Cap has a Gold Filled Parker Clip with PAT SEPT 5 - 16 stamped and has been polished to shine brightly with no brassing. The double ring cap banding displays rich gold filled color with no brassing. The barrel is crisply stamped with, "GEO. S. PARKER DUOFOLD FOUNTAIN PEN JANESVILLE, WIS LUCKY CURVE U.S.A. PAT 4-25-11". There are no monograms or personalizations to either the cap or barrel. The barrel on this Lapis does have a hint of darkening when comparing to the cap but overall is great color matching.

This Duofold is a Button Filler and has been tested with water and fills as it should. The filling unit operates as it was originally intended.

The Parker NIB is 14K with a Lucky Curve imprint. The actual writing portion of the 14K Parker NIB has a broad point measuring roughly .95mm when measured with digital calipers. When writing a sample with this NIB, it writes with a medium to double broad stroke/line. In the writing sample provided, the medium line measures at .63mm (on the horizontal strokes in the writing sample) and the double broad line measures at 1.39mm with firm pressure when I measured with digital calipers. The writing sample was done with the actual pen in the images that is listed for sale. The writing sample was used by dipping the NIB in Parker Quink Blue Ink.

Any specks of white in the images are from the cotton that I used to clean the barrel and cap.

This is an Iconic vintage Parker Duofold Fountain Pen in the Senior size and is a gorgeous example from Parker in the hard to find Lapis Blue. I would consider this Parker grade in Excellent Condition. It is ready to write or just add it to your writing arsenal collection.
