For your consideration, we are offering for sale this Restored Circa 1934 Parker Senior Duofold Fountain Pen in Burgundy-Black Celluloid. This fountain pen has been thoroughly taken apart, ultrasonically cleaned and put back together and is now in wonderful writing condition. The celluloid is some of the best I have seen in this color. Parker's original Duofold went "Streamlined" in 1929 (1929-1934) and this burgundy and black color was introduced around 1932.

I have ultrasonically cleaned the NIB, feed, and section. Replaced the old sac with a new, properly sized rubber sac. Hand polished the Gold Filled Parker Clip, 2-Ring Cap Banding, and 14K Duofold NIB. Cleaned, Buffed, and Polished the cap, barrel, blind cap to bring back the vibrancy and to protect the celluloid of the fountain pen. This Parker Duofold is the Senior Streamlined Size and measures 5 1/8" capped and 6 3/8" posted.

The fountain pen cap, barrel, and blind cap are in magnificent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. The Cap has a Gold Filled Parker Clip with PAT SEPT 5 - 16 stamped and has been polished to shine bright and displays no brassing. The cap banding displays rich gold filled color, again, with no brassing. The barrel is stamped crisp and clear with, "GEO. S. PARKER PARKER DUOFOLD FOUNTAIN PEN MADE IN U.S.A.". There are no monograms or personalizations to either the cap or barrel. The Burgundy color of this Parker is magnificent here.

This Senior Duofold has a button filling mechanism that I have restored. I have tested with water and fills as it should. Works as it was originally designed to.

The Parker Duofold NIB is 14K that writes very smoothly. The actual writing portion (iridium) of the nib has a medium point measuring roughly .85mm when measured with digital calipers. When writing a sample with this NIB, it writes with a medium to broad stroke/line. In the writing sample provided, the medium line measures at .60mm and the broad line measures at .95mm with medium to firm pressure when measured with digital calipers. The writing sample was done with the actual pen in the images that are listed for sale. The writing sample was used by dipping the NIB in Parker Quink Blue Ink.

Any specks of white in the images are from the cotton that I used to clean the barrel and cap.

This vintage Parker Burgundy and Black Senior Streamline Duofold Fountain Pen is in exceptional condition. The trim is polished brightly and the coloring of the celluloid is vibrant and gorgeous. I would consider this Parker to grade in Excellent to Near Mint Condition. This one is in exceptional condition and ready to add to your writing arsenal collection.
