For your consideration, we are offering for sale this Beautifully Restored Circa 1943 Eversharp Skyline Fountain Pen. This fountain pen has been thoroughly taken apart, cleaned and put back together and now is in wonderful writing condition.

I have ultrasonically cleaned the NIB, feed, section, and breather tube. Replaced the old rubber sac with a new, properly sized rubber sac. Hand polished the Gold Filled Eversharp Double Checkmark Clip, Gold Filled Cap Banding, Gold Filled Lever Bar, and 14K NIB. Cleaned, Buffed, Polished and Waxed the barrel and cap to bring back the vibrancy and to protect the celluloid of the fountain pen. The cap displays a green and navy blue striated pattern with a navy blue dome and the barrel being navy blue. This Eversharp Skyline is a standard size that measures 5 1/4" in length capped and 5 3/4" posted.

This fountain pen cap and barrel are in magnificent condition with no chips or repairs with the cap always securing tightly to the barrel. The cap has the Eversharp Double Checkmarked gold filled clip that displays no brassing. The gold filled cap banding is in very good condition showing little gold filled wear. The lever bar displays some wear as shown in the images. The gold filled clip edge is clearly stamped with, "EVERSHARP SKYLINE PAT. MADE IN U.S.A.", with the front of the clip displaying, "EVERSHARP". There are no monograms or personalizations to the cap or barrel.

The Eversharp Skyline Filling System is a lever filler that works great. I added a new breather tube and properly sized rubber sac and will operate for many years to come.

The Eversharp NIB is a 14K NIB and is Semi-flexible. The actual iridium tip/writing portion of the 14K Eversharp NIB has a fine point measuring roughly .50mm when measured with digital calipers. When writing a sample, this NIB writes with a fine to double broad stroke/line. In the writing sample provided, the fine line measures at .58mm and the double broad stroke measures 1.47mm when measured with digital calipers under medium to firm pressure. The sample was done with the actual pen in the images that are listed for sale. The writing sample was used by dipping the NIB in Parker Quink Blue Ink.

Any specks of white in the images are from the cotton that I used to clean the barrel and cap.

This is an Eversharp Skyline Fountain Pen that displays an Ultra-Cool Art Deco design and writes wonderfully. I grade this Eversharp in fine to very fine condition and is a wonderful introductory vintage fountain pen to get started in vintage collecting and/or writing with a vintage, smooth, flexible nib. It is ready to write or just add to writing arsenal collection.
