For your consideration we are offering for sale this Vintage Circa 1996 Namiki Capless/Vanishing Point Fountain Pen in Blue with Chrome/Stainless Trim and 14K Solid Yellow Gold Broad NIB. I have serviced this fountain pen buy cleaning it and is now in wonderful writing condition

This Namiki Vanishing Point Fountain Pen is a retired model from circa 1996. The body of the Vanishing Point is Blue and Faceted, which collectors of Vanishing Points find desirable. This Namiki fountain pen is in magnificent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. The Cap has a NAMIKI stamped clip and the body is stamped, "JAPAN". The filling system will accept ink cartridges from Pilot/Namiki and we have included a new CON-40 Ink Converter. The filling system and the click activated mechanism are all working in fantastic condition. This Pilot Namiki measures 5 1/2" with the Nib not exposed.

The Namiki Vanishing Point Nib is a designated "Broad" point and is 14K solid yellow gold that writes very soft and smooth. The actual writing portion (iridium) of the nib has a broad point measuring roughly .95mm when measured with digital calipers. When writing a sample with this NIB, it writes with a fine to broad stroke/line. In the writing sample provided, the fine line measures at .45mm on the horizontal strokes and the broad line measures at .95mm with all other strokes with normal to medium pressure when measured with digital calipers. The writing sample was done with the actual pen in the images that are listed for sale. The writing sample was used by dipping the NIB in Parker Quink Blue Ink.

These retired Namiki Faceted Vanishing Point Fountain Pens are tomorrow's collector fountain pens. I would consider this Pilot Namiki to grade in Excellent+ to Near Mint Condition. It is ready to write or just add it to your writing arsenal collection.
