GRAF VON FABER-CASTELL 2004 PEN OF THE YEAR NEW IN BOX MINT CONDITION LIMITED EDITION #590

$4,800.00

For your consideration, we are offering for sale this Magnificent Graf Von Faber-Castell, 2004 Pen of the Year Fountain Pen. The fountain pen comes in the original box with papers and documentation and has never been inked or used.

This Graf Von Faber-Castell Fountain Pen is finely crafted by master craftsman and head of the workshop, Boris Igdalov, who personally took care of the creation of this fountain pen and who thus created a new work of art that competes with craftsmanship and love of exquisite detail. The barrel is made of genuine amber where all amber rings are individually processed, polished and combined with platinized rings. There is a fascinating interplay between the two materials that are repeated in total between the platinum-plated cap and the amber barrel. The solid spring-loaded clip guarantees security when the pen is pocketed. A platinum-plated cap with amber inlay protects the knob of the plunger mechanism.

Apart from this interplay, it is mainly the high-quality craftsmanship, the individual grain of the amber rings and their different colors make this fountain pen a unique piece of masterful craftsmanship.

This individually-numbered Limited Edition is #590 of #2300. The fine writing implement is presented in an exclusive wooden case with accompanying papers and documentation. Top of the cap is imprinted with the Faber-Castell logo and "GRAF VON FABER-CASTELL". On the trim ring just above the piston knob is stamped, "GRAF VON FABER-CASTELL GERMANY". At the end of the barrel is stamped, "2004 PEN OF THE YEAR".

This pen measures 5 3/8" inches capped and 7 1/8" inches posted.

The 18-carat bicolor gold nib is made by hand and comes in the BROAD designated width.

The certificate bears the personal signature of Boris Igdalov, assuring that the pen was produced in the St Petersburg amber workshop and for a limited period only. These fountain pens are no longer being sold and can only be found on the secondary market.

This is a spectacular example created by Boris Igdalov and the Graf Von Faber-Castell company. These pens rarely come up for sale and this one is in Mint, New Old Stock Condition due to it never being used. Again, it is new in the box, never inked, the pen is in the original cellophane wrapper with inner and outer boxes. This would be a marvelous fine writing instrument to add to a significant writing arsenal collection!
