For your consideration, we are offering for sale this Circa 1972 Sheaffer White Dot Imperial Fountain Pen & Ballpoint Set in the Sterling Silver Marquetry (or diamond) pattern. This fountain pen is in Mint Condition, New Old Stock, Stickered, & Never Inked in its Original Box.

These writing instruments are known as a Sheaffer Imperial Fountain Pen and Ballpoint Pen - Model 834. This set is very desirable due to the pattern and the fact that it has never been inked with original boxes and is still stickered. The clips have the "white dot" which is securely intact. The cap and barrel are perfect with no scratches, dings, dents, or repairs. The cap is always securing tightly to the barrel. The fountain pen has an ink converter filling unit and works as it was designed to - I tested it with water and works perfectly. The ballpoint pen is activated by pushing down on the clip. The cap lips are marked with, "STERLING SILVER SHEAFFER CROWN LOGO SHEAFFER U.S.A.". Has the original sticker still on the caps. This fountain pen measures 5 1/4" capped and 5 3/4" posted. The ballpoint pen measures 5 1/8" in length.

The ballpoint pen is perfect in condition to match the fountain pen. The ballpoint pen is clip-activated to propel the point forward and push on the white dot area to retract the tip. Works as it should without any issue.

This Sheaffer Imperial Set is known as a Model 834 and the design on the cap and barrel is known as the "MARQUETRY" or "DIAMOND" pattern.

The nib is marked Sheaffer 14K U.S.A. The nib has a Fine point measuring .57mm when using digital calipers. The pen has never been inked and wanted to keep it in new old stock, mint condition for the next collector so I never sample tested it. Feels great in the hand and, at least for me, feels well balanced.

This set comes in the original inner and outer box which is in very good condition - the elastic bands that hold the pens in place have lost their elasticity but other than that it is Excellent.

This is a very desirable set to acquire due to it never being inked and retaining the original stickers - you just do not find these like this very often. This Sheaffer Imperial Fountain Pen & Ballpoint pen set in the Sterling Marquetry pattern is perfect and will be difficult to find one better. I would consider this Sheaffer set to grade in Mint Condition/New Old Stock condition. This Sheaffer Imperial is ready to write with and will be a fabulous addition to your modern Sheaffer collection.
