For your consideration, we are pleased to offer for sale this circa 1984 Parker Premier Fountain Pen in the striking Sterling Silver Ciselé pattern, fitted with a solid 18K Gold Medium nib. This superb example remains Mint, New Old Stock and never inked, preserved exactly as issued. It is accompanied by the original presentation box with hang tag, nib removal tool, Parker ink converter, two ink cartridges, pen sleeve, and Parker Premier literature, making it a particularly complete and desirable collector offering.
Introduced to the European market on September 12, 1983, during a launch event at the Hôtel de Paris Monte‑Carlo, the Parker Premier represented Parker’s vision for a new flagship writing instrument. Manufactured at Parker’s Meru factory in France, the model was designed as the luxury successor to the celebrated Parker 75. The Premier featured slightly larger proportions, a more contemporary profile, and refined design elements intended to elevate Parker’s prestige line.
Among the model’s distinctive design features are the faceted decorative cap banding rings, which catch and reflect light with remarkable brilliance, along with elegant flat black onyx end jewels that provide a dramatic contrast to the silver surfaces. Produced only from 1983 through approximately 1991, the Parker Premier has become an increasingly desirable piece among collectors.
This particular example is an early production model, identified by the French “crab” sterling silver assay mark on the barrel (see image 7), a hallmark used until 1984, placing this pen firmly within the first years of Premier production—1983 or 1984.
The Sterling Silver Ciselé finish is beautifully executed and remains in exceptional, untouched condition. Both the cap and barrel are immaculate, free from dents, dings, scratches, or repairs. The slip cap seats securely, and the faceted cap band retains crisp stamping reading “PARKER FRANCE,” with the sterling and Parker hallmarks positioned adjacent to the band (see image 8). There are no monograms or personal engravings, preserving the pen’s original collector integrity.
The pen measures 5 3/8 inches capped, 6 1/8 inches posted, and weighs 1.07 ounces, offering a substantial yet refined presence in hand.
The pen is equipped with a Parker factory ink converter, which has been tested with water and functions perfectly. It can also be used with Parker ink cartridges for added convenience.
The fountain pen is fitted with a superb 18K solid gold nib, stamped “PARKER FRANCE 18K 750” and bearing both the eagle hallmark and the iconic Parker “PP” arrow logo. The feed is marked “M” for Medium, and the iridium tipping measures .65mm using digital calipers, confirming a true Medium point. Importantly, this pen has never been inked or dipped, preserving the nib in pristine, factory-fresh condition.
Elegant, historically significant, and increasingly difficult to locate in Mint, never-inked condition with its complete original accessories, this Parker Premier Sterling Silver Ciselé represents a collector-grade example of Parker’s flagship European luxury model. It is equally suited to be enjoyed as a refined writing instrument or preserved as a centerpiece within a distinguished fountain pen collection.
