For your consideration we are offering for sale this Vintage Parker 75 Fountain Pen in Grain d'Orge Pattern with Gold Plate Trim and 18K Gold FRANCE NIB.
Cleaned and flushed the NIB, feed and section. Hand cleaned the inside of the barrel and cap. Hand polished the cap and barrel trim. This Parker has included the converter unit and works as it should.
The cap and barrel are in excellent shape with no dings, dents or repairs. The cap secures tightly to the section / barrel. The cap banding is marked with, "PARKER, FRANCE, the initial S and the two Ps with an arrow separating them". There are no monograms on the barrel; however the cap has the name, P. Richard Clark" engraved on the side (see image 7). This Parker measures 5 1/16" in length capped and 5 5/8" posted.
The NIB is 18K and is marked with, "PARKER 750 FRANCE 18K with the PP Arrow Hallmark and Eagle Head Hallmark". When measuring the actual tip of the 18K NIB it measures at .78mm with use of digital calipers, which puts the NIB in the Medium range. The back of the feed shows a "M" for medium.
When writing the sample, the NIB writes smoothly. The writing sample provided was done with the actual pen in the images that is listed for sale. I have tested the filling mechanism with water and fills as expected. The writing sample was used by dipping the NIB in Parker Quink Black Ink.
I would consider this Parker in Excellent to Near Mint Condition; however, the personalization may not appeal to all interested parties. This is gorgeous fountain pen makes a statement and it would make for a wonderful collector fountain pen to add to your writing instrument arsenal.
