For your consideration, we are offering for sale this Restored Circa 1919 Parker Giant Hard Rubber Fountain Pen with Rare Wide Cap Banding.
This is one pen from my personal collection. The pen is in the condition when I purchased it over 8 years ago. The condition is in Excellent condition.
The Parker Black Giant was first introduced in 1905 and production stopped in 1922.
The fountain pen cap and barrel are in magnificent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. The Cap has a Wide Gold Filled Cap Band and Parker Clip with PAT SEP 5 - 16 stamped and has been polished to shine brightly. The barrel is clearly stamped with "GEO. S. PARKER FOUNTAIN PEN JANESVILLE WIS. U.S.A. LUCKY CURVE PAT 4-25-11". There is also the imprint on the cap that reads, "Parker Black Giant". There are no monograms or personalizations to either the cap or barrel. The cap and barrel display absolutely wonderful deep black color. This Parker Giant measures 6 1/2" capped and 8 1/4" posted.
This Parker Black Giant is an eyedropper filler and has been tested with water and fills as it should. The filling unit operates as it was originally intended to and smoothly.
The Parker Lucky Curve NIB is 14K and stamped, "PARKER LUCKY CURVE PEN 12".
Any specks of white in the images are from the cotton that I used to clean the barrel and cap.
This Parker Black Giant is of simple design, yet, very significant due to the size and rarity of the condition on this example. I would consider the condition of this Parker Duofold to be in Excellent+ Condition. It is a spectacular writing collectible and certainly a significant fountain pen that would make for a "holy grail" addition to one's writing arsenal collection.
