RESTORED 1943 PARKER STRIPED SENIOR DUOFOLD DUSTY ROSE CELLULOID FOUNTAIN PEN

$245.00
For your consideration we are offering for sale this Fabulous 1943 Parker Duofold Senior in Dusty Rose Celluloid Fountain Pen in restored condition. This fountain pen has been thoroughly taken apart, cleaned and put back together and now is in wonderful writing condition. I would consider this one of the best Duofolds I have seen in quite some time.

I have ultrasonically cleaned the NIB, feed, section, breather tube, cap and barrel. Replaced the old diaphragm with a new, properly sized one. Hand polished the Gold Filled Blue Diamond Clip, Chevron Cap Banding and 14K "V" NIB. Buffed and Polished the barrel and cap to bring back the vibrancy of fountain pen and looks awesome.

This fountain pen cap and barrel are in magnificent condition with no chips, cracks, teeth marks or repairs. The cap has the Blue Diamond Gold Filled clip with no brassing. The Gold Filled Chevron Cap Band displays a wonderful gold filled color, also, with no brassing. The top jewel is black and polished to a great shine The barrel is clearly stamped with, "PARKER DUOFOLD MADE IN U.S.A. with date code 3 in the fourth quarter". The transparency of the barrel is great. The blind cap securely fits and there are no monograms on the barrel.

The Vacu-Fill System works great, typically in my tests with water about 5 to 6 presses and it will roughly 3/4 full. This Vacu-Fill unit is in excellent condition; it operates smoothly and works flawlessly.

This Senior Parker Duofold Fountain Pen measures 5 3/8" in length capped and 6 1/8" posted. The 14K Parker "V" NIB has a medium point measuring roughly .61mm, measured with digital calipers.

When writing a sample the NIB writes with a fine line and very smoothly. The writing sample provided in the image has a fine stroke that measures .55mm and can flex to a medium stroke of roughly .88mm with normal pressure; see image. The sample was done with the actual pen in the images that is listed for sale. I have tested the filling mechanism with water and fills as it should. The writing sample was used by dipping the NIB in Parker Quink Black Ink.

Any specks of white in the images are from the cotton that I used to clean the barrel and cap.

This is a beautiful vintage Parker Duofold Fountain Pen in the Dusty Rose Celluloid and would grade it in the Excellent to Very Fine Condition. It is ready to write or just add to writing arsenal collection.
